Aecha spent the next week getting to know the dreamies better. At night she still opted for the couch. But when they got a call from Mark, everyone ended up in the living room with the awake yet annoyed girl.

"Yes, Mark?"

"Next mission, we are tracking down SKZ. Jaemin, call me when you find them. Renjun, you need to make sure everything is prepared. As soon as we find them, we are going to go in immediately. It shouldn't be too hard. They have two hostages. Bring them here. Aecha, I know you're listening. You won't be helping this time. Haechan, you know what to do. Jeno, be prepared; we don't know when we'll need you, but be prepared. Chenle, stay with Renjun in the van. Go out if you want and only if it's for your part of the job. And Jisung, you're still grounded from last time."

"He wasn't going to talk! It's not like I wasted a lot of bullets! It was only one!"

"It was a reckless idea in an unsafe area. See you guys later. Goodbye." Mark said before hanging up the phone. Jisung went into his room angrily. Everyone else got ready to leave.

"Hyuck, I'm stealing your TV for a bit!" Aecha yelled. The boy laughed before they all left.  She did go into his room to watch TV at first but stopped when she saw a familiar photo on Mark's nightstand. The memory pained her, but she knew she was basically alone. She'd be fine as long as she's quiet. She let the painful memory play.

2016

"Changhyun, will you walk me to school today? Rami isn't here this week." Aecha asked her older brother.

"Of course. You hardly ask me to walk with you!" He said happily.

"But first, I have a gift for you today." Changhyun told his sister.

"Close your eyes." He said. The girl complied, curious as to what it was.. she felt a cold metal go against her neck before hearing the clasp at the back.

"Now, I'll be by your side always. No matter what." He said.

"And I'll be by yours," Aecha said. They walked to school, having their everyday sibling talk. When they arrived, they said their goodbyes before they parted ways. Aecha was almost to the school when she decided to run back to her brother to hug him. He didn't hear her, so she kept running after him. She followed him until he turned down the ally they'd always walk through. She saw from the corner several guys walk towards her brother. She stayed hidden, unsure who they were. Her brother went to say hello; he was a friendly person. She didn't hear what else was said. She looked back at them at the wrong time. She couldn't look away. She says there paralyzed, nearly forced to watch them take her brother's life right in front of her. They left more seconds later, running away. She knew what they looked like, but no one looked like them in her town. She ran up to her brother when she was sure they were gone.

"Changhyun!" She said as she saw the wound in his abdomen.

"Cha? You need to go. What if they come back?" He said worriedly. The girl took off her bag and coat. She used her jacket to apply pressure to the wound, hoping it would stop bleeding. She didn't want to face the truth.

"Aecha, it's not going to work. You know this. Please, don't worry about me." He said.

"How can I not?" She nearly yelled.

"I love you, Aecha, don't forget. I'll always be with you, alright?" He said. The girl wrapped her arms around her brother.

"Don't leave me. You can't leave me." She cried.

At the mere age of twelve, the girl watched her brother die in her arms.

-flashback ends-

"I should have spoken up. I should have done something. He could still be alive." She kept muttering. Jisung was walking into the kitchen when he heard her muttering to herself. He grew curious and carefully opened the door to see the girl sitting on the floor with a tear streaks on her cheeks, holding a picture frame. He decided against talking to her. She didn't hear him come in or leave the room. He still thought of her as pathetic. He's killed many people. You don't see him crying over any. But he, too, was just as fucked up as the girl. Maybe not in the same sense, but fucked up nonetheless.
