Olive concluded her narration and to her amazement, Akio was gazing at her with a child-like expression on his face that left Olive flustered.
"Is something wrong?" She asked
"It's just... you're so cool!" Akio exclaimed
Olive's face gradually went from a golden tone to scarlet red in embarrassment.
"Olive, did I upset you?" Akio asked concerned as he noticed her eyes filling with tears
"It's not that. I've never received a compliment like that before so I'm not sure how to react." she sniffled
Akio attempted to reach his arms out for embracement but he had seem to have forgotten he was in handcuffs. In a trice, the vehicle screeched to a halt and the two friends had at last arrived at the police station.
"Right. Gonna have to put you lot in cells whilst a detective arrives for interrogation." An officer apprised us.
"Aren't you going to remove these?" Akio asked referring to the handcuffs
"Are you serious? You are being accused of murder, might have to get you a psychology assessment by the looks of it!" the officer replied.
Swiftly, they were escorted to a single jail-cell which was undoubtedly filled to the brim with peculiar individuals. Both Olive and Akio were thrown into the same cell which left Akio feeling remorseful and helpless.
"It's fine Akio." Olive sighed, noticing the look on Akio's sorrowful face
"Seriously it's not fine, how can people who work to protect us be so ignorant!" Akio yelled folding his fists in anger.
"Boy chill, I haven't done anything legally about my transition yet, besides this means we will be closer together." said Olive playfully, which lead Akio's eyes to dart straight to the ground and his cheeks flushing red.
"Will you kids keep it down, I'm tryna get a bit of shut-eye, Jesus!" one cellmate scoffed
"My bad." replied Akio who subsequently leaned on the rough, frigid wall and leisurely closed his eyelids drifting off into a deep sleep.

*FIVE YEARS AGO*
Akio strode into class usually accompanied by Kimura, but strangely he was alone. He took a seat in his reserved chair and grasped that the seat beside him was vacant. The typically quiet classroom was infused with murmurs, every child seemed out of sorts which raised Akio's curiosity.
"Hey Takano, what is everyone talking about?" he asked his classmate. The boy took one long look into Akio's face and suddenly burst into tears letting himself fall into Akio's arms. Shortly afterwards, their homeroom teacher bitterly walked into the classroom carrying a crestfallen expression.
"Good morning class can everyone settle down and take a seat." He ordered us "Right, well I'm sure you've all heard about the tragic death of our cherished pupil who was the joy of Yokai Academy and hearing this news has left me in despair. HOWEVER, school will continue as normal so please carry out your school day as usual. Lastly, Hiro Kimura, we hope you rest in eternal peace!"
.........
"Sir, you must be mistaken. Surely I heard you wrong? You didn't say Hiro Kimura did you?" Akio asked dismissing what he had just heard
"Now if anyone was going to take this news horribly, it would be you Suzuki." His teacher replied regretfully
Briskly and dolefully, Akio stood up in a fury and flounced out of the room.
