"Kimura... It's really you!"

Akio was on the verge of tears as he had finally been reunited with his best friend

"Took you long enough. Seriously I had nearly given up on you, did you really forget about  me?" Kimura replied

"Never! Besides, why can't I see you?" I wept

Am I hallucinating? Is this a dream? I thought my ability only worked on certain occasions. Is he even a ghost? But this presence. This feeling. It feels as if he never left.

"I will explain everything in time eventually but will you help me?" he answered yearning for my assistance. His tone changed. He sounded more desperate now.

"Your body? What was that even about? How can my good for nothing ability be of any help to you. You're smart, figure something out."

"I've waited months for this day, don't let me down. Your ability...it has not been fully awakened yet, you are capable of bigger things."

"W-what do you mean?" I uttered

"It's natural to not understand anything as of now but I promise I will explain it all to you. Suzu, come back to Japan with me."

"But Mother and Sara. I can't just leave them all. Are you out of your mind?" I cried

"Find a way to convince your mother to come back home." He explained "Let us continue this, Suzu." He whispered and his presence faded away

As I ran back home anxious of the time, I tried to apprehend everything that had just took place. I thought HE was crazy but i'm starting to think maybe I have become a lunatic. "Suzu, come back to Japan with me." What did he mean by that? He doesn't really think I'd go all the way back there to help him does he? Would I? This is far too much for me to understand.
Akio finally arrives home and opens the front door as quietly and secretly as he could. The door slides open and he was "warmly" greeted by Sara and his mother ...
"Akio where on earth have you been!" My mother yelled.

"Akio as much I love you I do not appreciate being used as an excuse. I mean where the hell could you have possibly been, it's not like you have any other friends besides me?" Sara added.

"Wow Sara, harsh." I mutter to myself

"Well, care to explain. Wait," She gasped "don't tell me you're affiliated with some bad people and made some bad decisions and got involved with some bad stuff?"

"Well?" My mother questioned

"Bad people? Ah yes that is EXACTLY what happened..." I lied.

"Akio..." Sara says as she attempts to hug me.

"Sara stop! This is not behaviour that should be commended. I am extremely disappointed in you son. This is not I repeat NOT the Akio I know. Go to your room immediately!" My mother shouts.

"I'm sorry Mother, I wish I could tell you what is really going on." I think to myself

I climb up the stairs and enter my room shortly followed by footsteps heading towards my way.

"Hey... what was that about?" Sara questions
"You should leave. I think the substances I consumed are contagious." I replied
"Uh- what? That's over selling it. Don't tell me that pathetic performance was enough to convince me. You really are a lost cause." She laughs.
I knew it. No one can get through to Sara. Not even my incredible lie that managed to convince my own mother.
"Alright fine..."

Akio proceeds to explain everything to Sara including the incident on New Years and his ability. But Akio is left with a hefty ultimatum, his life here or go back to Japan and uncover the truth circling the death of his best friend...
