"Library?" Lexi asked and I nodded.

We walked to the library slowly, I took my time to admire the architecture.

"It's an absolutely beautiful school and I might love it here", I thought. "Plus, I haven't had an incident yet and with family running this school I could be happy – maybe".

We reached the library and saw the rest of our class, talking, only one or two actually doing the homework.

We sat down at a table and I pulled out a notebook to take notes. A short stubby woman came up to us, she had huge glasses on and her brown hair was cut roughly. The librarian I guessed.

"What do you kids want?" she scowled.

"The book on the Adler family please," I requested.

"No can do, deary."

"It's my family," I growled and the lady looked at me shocked.

"Oh, I'm so sorry Miss Adler. I will get your book straight away. Please don't tell your grandmother," she whimpered and ran away from me.

"Weird lady," Lexi commented and the librarian came back empty-handed.

"I'm sorry Miss Adler but Darcy removed all the Adler books," the librarian whispered and ran off again.

"I'm going to see Grandma D, see you at dinner," I told Lexi and headed to the office.

I walked to her office without getting lost, I'd memorized the school map so I didn't need someone to escort me everywhere. Speaking the password and walked in, I probably should have knocked but who cares. Grandma D was sitting at her desk looking utterly bored. I walked up to her and kissed her on the forehead before sitting down on the couch.

"What brings you here my dear? Aren't you supposed to be in Samantha's class," Grandma D questioned.

"I have to do a family tree for her class. Do you have any books on our family?"

"Yes, I have a diary that our family women have written in for generations. Look after it," Grandma D said and handed me a falling-apart book.

I took it carefully from her and held it in my hand. It was so fragile and I was terrified of damaging it. On the front was Adler but it was faded. I thanked Grandma D and put the book in my bag. Heading to the dining hall I wondered what I would find in the book. Upon entering the hall, all eyes turned to me as I sat, down next to Lexi, at the huge dining tables covered in a white tablecloth. After a few seconds, the conversations started, the attention drifting off me, which was a huge relief. Grandma D nodded and a teacher pulled the sheet off the table revealing mouthwatering food. Lexi was stuffing her face so I took it that we were allowed to eat. I picked up a chicken burger and took a bite, it was amazing as was everything else I tried.

After dinner, Lexi headed to bed but I decided to go to the common room, where everyone in our grade hung out. The common room was at the end of the hall, there were a few tables and in front of the burning fireplace was an empty couch with a blanket. I sat down on the inviting couch and pulled the blanket over me. I pulled the diary out of my bag and opened it to the first page.

'22nd May 1899

Dear Master John,

I love you. These simple little words mean the world to me and I have never said them to another living soul. Nor will that change when I am married to Lord Miller. He is an ungrateful Loiter-sack*. I miss you terribly and my heart will always lay beside yours.

Also, I am elated to tell you that I am opening a school for young ladies to be themselves. It should help with my problem, maybe someone will know why I can kill people in a single touch. I'm going to name it Stonewall Academy. My daughter Lilly turned one yesterday and she is a special child.

Forever in your heart,

Elizabeth Adler

*Definition of Loiter-sack (Slacker. An idling, lazy good-for-nothing.)'

I loved how Elizabeth (wait she would be my great great great great grandma) talked, it was so polite and sophisticated. Apparently, in the olden days, people used words like loiter-sack and called men - lords. Also, it seemed she had the same condition as me, maybe this diary will explain why I have so many incidents. I decided to close my eyes for a few seconds thinking 'when I wake up I'll read the next entry.'

I woke up to shuffling of feet and someone shaking me.

"Rose, wake up," a kind voice said and I opened my eyes to see Aunt Sam standing next to me.

"Aunt Sam?" I asked groggily.

"Hey honey, go up to bed. You fell asleep," she soothed me and led me to my dorm.

I laid down on my bed and Aunt Sam kissed me on the head before leaving. Suddenly, I wasn't tired anymore and decided to play a prank. I knew it was mean but they were so rude to Aunt Sam in class. I picked up a marker and wrote Twisted Twin 1 on Bianca's forehead and wrote Twisted Twin 2 on Bree's forehead. Then I re-thought it, Bree hadn't actually done anything so I wiped hers off. I smiled to myself and went to sleep thinking of my prank.

I woke up again to a high-pitched scream. I searched the room for the scream and my eyes reached the mirror where Bianca was freaking out. Lexi was sitting on her bed laughing and I winked at her signaling that I did it. Bree was still asleep, no idea how she managed that.

"Nice makeup girl," I chuckled.

"Yeah, bold choice," Lexi laughed.

"You did this to me, you monster!" Bianca screeched and tackled Lexi off her bed.

Lexi grunted in pain as her head hit the floor. While she started getting up, Bianca hit her again. Making my friend stumble falling to the floor with a thud. I ran over to them and tried to pull Bianca off Lexi but she wasn't budging. My friend's nose was bleeding and I could see a bruise on her head. Bree was suddenly awake and standing next to me.

"Fight, fight, fight," Bree chanted and other students filled the room to watch.

I looked to Lexi, she was in a ball sobbing while Bianca was still punching her. I felt the familiar fire in my blood that comes with an incident. I touched Bianca and her body fell to the floor. She started screaming with terror and bleeding from her eyes and ears. My surroundings disappeared and it was just me and Bianca. Nothing else mattered. I was killing her, I couldn't stop. My mind wasn't my own anymore. Then I was pulled back by someone shaking me, I got distracted and lost concentration long enough for Bianca to pass out.

I could hear a faint voice yelling, "Everyone out, someone find Professor Adler."

I was already falling, someone caught me, everything went black before I could see who it was.
