"I had a really nice time tonight." Alice tells him sincerely as the two walk up the creaky porch steps of her trailer.
"So did I, I'm really glad you agreed to go out with me."
"You thought I would say no?"
He shrugs. "I don't know, I guess I just thought I blew my shot by not asking you for your number when we met."
"You didn't blow anything," she assures him, tangling her fingers with his. "And, if you happen to want to go out again, I'll say yes."
"You will, will you?" He smirks as he steps closer to her, backing her up against the siding by her door. She smiles up at him, letting him play with their joint fingers. "Well, miss Smith, what do you say to a movie this Thursday? I hear the Twilight is playing E.T."
"Spielberg fan?"
"Maybe a little, plus I too can be lured by M&M's."
She laughs at that. "Well then I'll bring a bag with me."
"I'll take that as a yes?"
"Absolutely."
"I'll pick you up around six and we'll grab some Pop's beforehand."
"I'll be waiting." She smiles that mysterious and stunning smile of hers and he's hers for the taking. He kisses her softly, giving her the opportunity to call it a night, but she just melts into it and lets his arms circle around her tiny waist.
She doesn't know how long they stay like that, kissing tantalizingly slow and passionate against her front door, but she's sure she could stay there for hours. "You want to come inside?" She murmurs against his lips.
He smiles into the kiss and leans his forehead against hers, their panting breaths in sync. "Gosh, I want to." He tells her, stealing another kiss. "But-"
"But?" She partly wines.
"But I sort of want it to be special."
She raises an eyebrow at that. "Hasn't that sort of been thrown out the window already?"
"That's why I want it to be special. You deserve more than a quickie in a dark game closet, or a late night romp."
"Do you know how refreshing it is to hear that?"
"You don't think I'm a total loser?"
"For treating me like an actual human being and not just a play thing? Not at all."
"Well I can just about guarantee you it won't be that long of a wait, because it's excruciating trying to keep my hands off of you."
"Well save it for the Twilight, need someway to kill time during the credits." She winks.
He tilts his head back and let's out a dramatic sigh. "You're gonna kill me."
She smirks and leans up on her tip-toes, leaving a kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you on Thursday."
"Looking forward to it."
