She had fallen asleep at FP's shortly after he picked her up, wanting to just sleep away the events of the night and forget it all.

He made them waffles, albeit the frozen ones but it's the thought that counts, and then she had traipsed back over to her own trailer, showering off the grime of the night before.

She's midway through drying her hair when she hears a knock on the door, she's not really in the mood for visitors, especially since she has a sneaking suspicion she knows who it is.

Her thoughts are correct and she opens the door to find a very worried and distraught Lance standing on her porch. "Oh thank God." He breathes out. She raises an eyebrow at him, confused. "I couldn't find you last night-"

"That was by design." She spits bitterly.

"I looked all over for you, and I must have called like thirty times, but you never picked up. I was worried sick."

"I stayed at FP's last night." She tells him coldly.

He lets out a sigh of relief. "Where did you go last night? I looked all over the place for you, no one knew where you went."

"I left early. Called FP for a ride."

He furrows his eyebrows. "Why didn't you just come get me if you wanted to go? I would've taken you home, we could've hung out the rest of the night just you and me."

"I couldn't exactly find you considering you left me pretty much the second we stepped in the door." She spits. "And when I did find you... you were a little busy."

"You could've pulled me away, I wouldn't have minded." He tells her sincerely.

"Pulled you away from that girls' lips?" She questions, disdain thick in her tone. He freezes and she rolls her eyes. "Exactly."

"You saw that?" He asks her bashfully.

"You bet your ass I did. Who the hell was that?"

He sighs. "That was my ex, she saw me there, she was tipsy, she kissed me, I pushed her off."

She crosses her arms over her chest, trying not to fall for the sincerity in his voice. "I don't know you two looked pretty cozy."

"I know that probably sounds like a like a lie, but I swear to you, she kissed me, and I pushed her off, if you had of stuck around for a minute you would have seen me do it." His face sinks when he realizes she still doesn't believe him. "Alice, I'm not a cheater."

"Yeah well you clearly weren't going to tell me about it, so what does that make you? Just a liar?"

He sighs and takes her hand, leading her with him as he sits on the porch step. "I didn't mean to hurt you. It didn't mean anything."

"Then how come you didn't tell me?" Her voice is small, thick with emotions she refuses to let spill.

"I couldn't find you!" He defends.

"Now. How come you didn't tell me now? You had the perfect opportunity to do so, so why didn't you tell me then if it wasn't a big deal?"

"I knew you'd be mad." She laughs bitterly, did he expect her not to be? "I'm sorry."

She nods, biting the inside of her cheek. "Yeah. I'm sorry too."

He raises an eyebrow at her. "What do you have to be sorry about?"
