"I'm here!" FP announces, waltzing into the Andrews' house.
"Did you bring snacks?" Hermione asks.
"Course I did." He drops multiple bags of chips and candy on the table, earning an approving smile from Fred and Hermione. "Where's Alice?"
"She'll be here, she said she's going to be a little late."
"Is everything okay?" He slips onto one of the barstools at the kitchen island and takes a handful of popcorn Hermione just popped.
"Yeah she's just out with Jamie."
He can't hold back an eye roll at the mention of the guy. "Of course she is."
"What is your issue with him anyway?"
"He's just an ass, constantly trying to upstage me and make me look bad in front of Coach."
"You know, FP, if I didn't know better I'd say you were jealous."
"Oh come on Hermione, would you cut that out?"
"I'm just saying, you've never liked one of her boyfriends. One could theorize there's a deeper reason there."
"I'm just protective of her is all, I mean we grew up together. I don't think I'll ever think someone is good enough for her." FP explains. "Especially not Jamie Reynolds."
"She does seem to really like him, and you know Alice, she can hold her own."
"I've just heard the way he talks about past girls he's been with, I wouldn't be able to control myself if he ever spoke about Alice like that."
"I think she'd beat you to it." Fred quips.
The front door swings open and the three of them cock their heads to see who it is, finding a huffing and puffing Alice storming into the house. "Hurricane Alice, coming through." Hermione murmurs under her breath.
"Hey!" Fred greets. "Good timing we were just picking the movie. Any requests?"
"Something with blood." She grumbles.
"We were thinking more along the lines of Grease or The Outsiders."
"I don't care, you pick." She steals a handful of popcorn from the bowl, earning a scowl from Hermione. "What?"
"That's for the movie."
Alice rolls her eyes. "Then pick one and put it on."
"My vote is on Grease!" Fred announces, scurrying into the living room to turn it on. Followed closely by Hermione who snatches the bowl of popcorn off of the counter so Alice and FP can't steal anymore of it.
"You okay, Al?" FP asks her quietly. She nods unconvincingly, making her way to the living room. "Are you sure? You made quite the entrance."
"I'm fine."
"You know you can tell me anything, if you want to talk about it, we can-"
"Oh for fucks sake FP, I ended things with Jamie, that's what's wrong. Now leave me alone." She yells the words, capturing the attention of Fred and Hermione.
"Oh." He manages out. "Are you alright? Do you want to-"
"Please don't try and act like you feel sorry for me. You've been waiting for us to break up ever since I told you we were together."
"That's not true." FP insists, earning a glare from Alice. "Maybe it's a little true but I never wanted you to get hurt, Alice."
"Whatever, I'm fine. Life goes on. Besides, I'm the one who ended it, so any sort of misery is self inflicted." She flips down onto the couch with a sigh. "Are we watching a movie or what?"
***
"You know? I kind of hate this movie." Hermione says as the sound of Grease Lightning fills the room.
Fred gapes. "Why? It's like the best movie ever?"
"I always used to watch it when I was little and it gave me the most unrealistic expectations for being a teenager."
FP chuckles. "You expected people to just randomly burst out into song?"
"No, I mean the friendships, and the way they look like they're actually enjoying high school." She huffs. "That, and the fact that they had me thinking high school would have guys like Kenickie and Danny. Boy was I mistaken."
"You know, I've been told I look like John Travolta." FP states.
"Whoever told you that needs their eyes checked." Hermione teases. "Right Alice?" Silence. "Alice?"
The three of them cock their heads to see Alice fast asleep against FP's side, looking peacefully asleep. "Aw look at her. She almost looks sweet." Fred coos. "Should we wake her?"
Hermione elbows him lightly. "Are you crazy? You saw how foul of a mood she was in when she got here, do you really think waking her up is a good idea?"
"She'd be equally as pissed if she woke up to us staring at her." FP points out, curling his arm around the blonde so she can rest against him more comfortably. He pushes her hair out of her eyes with a soft smile.
"You're right, let's just... let her be." Fred agrees, sharing a knowing smirk with Hermione as they watch FP look at Alice. "You want another blanket?" He asks, noticing how Alice has wrapped herself up in the one they were sharing.
"Nah, I'm good, I will however take the popcorn if you're willing to give it up."
