Music. Colors. It was a beautiful, chaotic, array of music and colors. From the simple tune produced by the carousel to the loud clown music at the ring toss game. The zapping noises from inside the laser tag tent and the loud bumping sounds from the bumper cars.

Kara didn't like carnivals. They were loud and crowded. Two things she did not like.

But one thing she always looked forward to when the carnival was in town was the ferris wheel. The big, majestic wheel of gold and silver at the center of it all, catching anyone's attention from a mile away.

Kara always loved riding it. The ride to the top and back down taking her away from the struggles and hardships of life. Peacefully watching the twinkling night sky from the tallest point.

It was therapeutic for the girl. The cold night air blowing against her as she goes 'round. Clinging onto her jacket even more as she moves around to get comfortable in her limited space.

Ever since she was able to, she's always gone on the ferris wheel. Whether it be with her parents or not. And as she grew older, she began going on her own. Sometimes her friends, family, or past boyfriends even coming with.

But, the female was alone this time. Wanting the alone time as everything in life was starting to get hectic once again. So here Kara was, waiting in line at the carnival to do her semi-annual ferris wheel ride. Ticket in hand as she waits for the line to get shorter.
