EIGHT.

Two weeks had gone by after Kara had confessed to Renjun about the mutual feeling. The two were clearly interested in each other, meaning it was only a matter of time before they got into a romantic relationship.

It was Friday and the dismissal bell had just rung. Renjun was with his friend group and Kara with her's, both groups in the hallway as they load and unload their lockers.

Renjun spots the girl finished with everything she had intended to do. Kara's back on her locker as she laughs along to whatever her friends were talking about.

Seeing her smile brought a smile to his face, too.

Kara wasn't one to always show a genuine smile. You could always tell when her smiles weren't real. Her eyes would tell you everything you needed to know.

But her laugh was genuine, and so was his. 

After a minute of internal debate, he had finally made a decision and decided to walk over to the group of girls. His friends had stopped their conversation after noticing that their eldest '00 liner had abruptly left.

"Where's he going?" one of them asks, another answering by nodding his head towards the familiar group of students.

"I think we all know the answer to that question"

The male had stopped right beside Kara, the girl turning her head towards him the moment she felt eyes boring into the side of her head.

"Hi," she says, the smile still on her face as her friend group turned to look at who she was talking to.

"Hi," he replies, looking at her before turning his attention to her friends.

"Could I steal her for a sec?"

They all nod, saying a 'go ahead' as the male holds his out hand to which Kara takes, quite shy that she did it in front of her friend group knowing full well they'll be teasing her for it till the end of time.

As the two leave the hallway, most of the rest of the students did too. The moment the two take off, Kara's friend group make eye contact with Renjun's. They all start to chuckle as they all knew that they would end up merging into this huge friend group one day. Kara and Renjun being the primary source of that.
