And now, we're back to present. You might be wondering what happened for the two to not even spare a glance at each other. Did they break up? Was it all just a prank? No to both of those. In fact, they never broke up. Not because they're actually still in a relationship, but because they never were in a relationship in the first place.

You see, Renjun had asked Kara if she had wanted to be in a relationship and if she could make him her boyfriend. But the two were only juniors and Kara was more focused on studies. Kara was always driven to guilt. If she didn't have the time to focus on the relationship, and if she knew that the relationship was going nowhere because of her, she would immediately feel guilty.

Therefore, the female replied saying 'not now' and 'i'll think about it'. Of course, Renjun was fine with this. It was solid, middle ground. But unfortunately, he did not know that 'not now' never meant 'not now' and sooner or later he lost hope in ever being in a relationship with the girl he liked.

And so now here the two were, talking about the one thing that the two had decided to forget. They acted as if it never happened, but they and even their friend groups knew damn well that they both still liked each other.

"Umm..." Kara starts, looking down at her hands as she takes a deep breath in and out.

"I'm sorry. I really am," she apologizes, the guilt finally fully eating her up from inside as Renjun sighs.

"Isn't that a bit overused now?" he says, the female wincing as she clearly also understood her obsession with 'sorry'.

Yet, Renjun knew she meant it. Because she always did. She could say sorry a million different times but she'd mean every single one of them. Remember, her eyes told everything. And he'd know best, because Renjun always stared into her eyes when they talked. Always.
