Now, don't be fooled. Kara had mumbled this confession, of course. Not knowing how the male would feel after only telling him she liked him after so long.
Unfortunately, Renjun heard the girl. She wasn't really the best at the whole timing thing and decided to mumble when they were at the tallest point. Meaning, minimal sound was heard and you could probably hear everything you want to if you wanted to.
"Oh, so we're confessing now?" he asked, turning his head to look at the girl as Kara's eyes go wide. Mentally cursing herself as she struggles to find the correct answer.
"You heard— What are you talking— You must be hearing— Ye— No."
Hearing this, a small smirk appeared on Renjun's face. Ready to tease the girl regardless of the fact that they weren't particularly on the best terms.
"Has Lim Kara grown a liking to me, Huang Renjun?" he asked teasingly, an exaggerated surprised expression on his face and a hand over his heart.
"A year late, don't you think?" he asks, Kara turning to face him as a small smile was now on his face replacing the smirk.
Kara knew the smile didn't blossom from happiness. It came from pain. Which when she noticed, felt like a knife had stabbed her right in the heart.
"Renjun..." she starts, the male blinking as he looks back to his right. Away from the female as she continued to look at him.
"I'm sorry"
