Responsibility

They arrived at their new hideout. Underground, isolated, perfect for them, but a little smaller than the other one. That's what Chan needed to specific to his members. They were only 4 rooms instead of 8, so they needed to make a compromise and to share rooms with each other.

-I'll stay with Innie! I don't care about the rest of you, shouted Chan grabbing Jeongin by the wrist and dragging him closer.

However, his jokingly vibe was ruined when his eyes landed on Felix, who was trembling out of fear. His expression dropped in a serious authoritative one as he made his way trough the members towards the little aussie. He didn't waste a time to hug him, massaging his back to soothe him.

-Shhh.. It's ok, Felix. Me and Minho are right here.

Minho approached the two of them and took Felix in his arms, gently ruffling his hair.

-Minho, can you take care of him?

Minho nodded before looking at Jisung for understanding.

-It's alright, hyung. I'll find another roommate, said Jisung with a weak smile.

Minho took Felix to their room and stayed with him hugging until the latter managed to fell asleep.

Chan sighed watching them leaving the room.

Right after that, Hyunjin came to Chan, with his head down, not being able to face his leader.

-Hyung...It happened again.

Chan put his hand on Hyunjin's shoulder.

-Ok, we'll get past this too. But you know the procedure. I'm gonna have to lock you down in my room.

Hyunjin didn't raise his head. He just went straight to the room he knew is gonna spend the next days in solitude.

-Innie, I'm sorry, but it seems I can't share the room with you. I will sleep on the couch for a while.

-It's ok, hyung. Do what you have to do.

With that said, Chan followed Hyunjin and showed him the room.

-Minho is gonna come to bring you food and I will check on you twice a day, ok? It's gonna be fine, Hyunjin-ah.

-I scared Felix...he whispered embarrassed of his actions.

Chan patted Hyunjin, looking at him with pity.

-Felix is too strong to be shaken up just by that. Trust me.

After that, Chan locked the door and threw the keys in his pocket.

The night came and they all installed in their rooms. Jeongin ended up with Jisung and Seungmin with Changbin. They agreed on this formula until Felix and Hyunjin would come back to normal.

They really didn't have any idea what's wrong with them, but they were kind of afraid to ask Chan, cause they knew they wouldn't get an answer anyway.

-Still working?

Chan looked up from his pile of files to see Jeongin sipping from a cup of tea.

-Why are you still up?

-I could ask you the same thing, Chan dodged the question.

Jeongin sit down next to Chan on the couch looking at the files.

-What's all of this?

-Strategies. I have to get rid of that helicopter as fast as I can.

-You're exhausting yourself. Go to sleep.

-I can't until I find a way to keep you all safe. It's my responsibility. I dragged you into my mess, so I have to protect you.

-We chose to be here, Chris. Don't put all the blame on you.

Jeongin raised up and started massaging Chan's shoulders.

-Is this your way of flirting with me? asked Chan smirking before receiving a pillow in the head.

-I am a doctor, idiot! I can see when you're tensed. Besides, you made it very clear I don't have a shot with you. And I understood it. I've back it off. I am just trying to be your friend.

Chan didn't know how to reply to that, so he just stood there in silence.

-Go to sleep! yelled once more Jeongin before heading to the door.

Nevertheless, when he reached the door, he turned back to face Chan.

-Hey, can you lend me the key to your room tomorrow? Felix told me Hyunjin got hurt today, so I wanna treat him.

-No!

Jeongin did not expect Chan to answer so stern to him.

-No? Why?

-Because I say so.

-But with that pain in the back he may not be able to sleep. It won't take long. Just...

-I said no, Jeongin! Go to your room!

The last time Jeongin felt this level of fear was when Changbin kidnapped him and brought him to Chan for the first time. Since then, Chan was always kind and childish towards him. That's why Jeongin was completely terrified of Chan's commanding voice.
