6 months ago, a hospital for people with behavioral disorders in the mountains
Jeongin was a young man with big dreams of becoming a successful surgeon. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it in the university. His strict parents told him to leave the house as the disappointment he is. So he found a job as a nurse in a clinic of crazy people. Literally. All the people diagnosed with behavioral disorders are here. And he has to take care of every each one of them, which is tiring.-Hey, Jeongin! Wait up! A tall guy sprints toward him, holding a pile of papers.
-You didn't pay for the equipment I brought you this month.
-Soobin, please give me some more time. I promise I will pay double next month, begged Jeongin.
-Sorry, but I can't do that. You have to pay for everything in this world like I have to pay for my rented apartment, he complained holding his hand in front of Jeongin.
Jeongin sighed before landing the boy his last paycheck. Soobin grabbed the money and turned around to the exit.
-There are not even high-quality. Where did you get them? An abandoned hospital? shouted Jeongin angered.
-Shut up! Your money wouldn't even be enough for a couch and you expect me to give you the good stuff? scoffed Soobin before leaving the building.
The truth is that Jeongin was trying to learn on his own how to become a doctor, reading every book Soobin would bring him and using old equipment for practicing. But the thing is that he didn't have enough money to leave the clinic. His paycheck was miserable and his work was dangerous, but he didn't have other choice. Living in wilderness, surrounded by dangerous, mentally unstable individuals, was definitely not his dream.
His life seemed to be convicted, until one day when two men walked trough the hospital door looking for the room 42.
-Room 42? That's Lee couple's room. Is written here that they don't have any relatives. So why do you want to see them? asked Jeongin a little confused.
The Lee family was a dangerous couple even he was afraid of. They were undoubtedly sick, out of their minds, always scratching with their nails the walls and screaming at 3 in the morning every day. Jeongin was in charge of them, cause they were the most likely to get hurt or to hurt each other. He took care of them for a whole year and never heard from them of a relative of friend. That's why he become genuinely curious when he saw the two guys, well dressed, tall and handsome, asking about that room.
-They were our neighbours and we gave it a thought to visit them, said the older one.
Jeongin didn't bought it, but he was more interested in the male itself. He had a beautiful curly blonde hair, a charming smile and perfect lips. He seemed buffed and the golden wristwatch was telling Jeongin the man was rich.
"Perfect" he tought to himself.
He was looking for a wealthy man to help him and this one was good looking too.
-Isn't weird for someone not so close to them to visit? After all, this is a hospital for crazy people, asked Jeongin sceptic.
The other man grabbed him by the collar, targeting him with his killer-like eyes.
-Aren't you asking too many questions?
His voice was definitely scary. As Jeongin gulped in fear, the older put his hand on the scary one's shoulder signaling him to stop.
Jeongin leaded them to the room peeking at the couple sleeping in their beds after a few hours of screaming.
-They are asleep. Do you want me to wake them up or...
-No!
Jeongin was cutt of by the scary guy who looked trough the glass at them and for a moment his face softened.
After five minutes of silence, the unwanted guests left, leaving Jeongin behind to go back to work.
And that would have happened if he wouldn't had seen the blood stains on the back of the blonde one. Suddenly his doctor instinct activated, making him follow them two streets until he caught them going in a suspicious van.
The next thing he remembers is how his vision went black and his conscience sliped away.
He woke up God knows how many hours later, tied up of a chair with 7 scary people staring and pointing their weapons at him. Two of them were the ones from earlier, but the other ones were strangers for him, which made the situation even frightening.
-So what are we doing with him? asked the shorter one holding a knife at Jeongin's neck. I caught him following you guys. We need to get rid of him as fast as possible.
-He seems cute tho, chuckled a blonde freckled guy, hiding behind the others.
-He seems stupid if you ask me, crooned a dark hair boy with a sarcastic look on his face.
-Enough! spoke the older one. Let's ask him first why he was tailing us. Kid, speak!
Jeongin was too scared to say a word, but in the end he quaked his sentences in order for the others to remain aback.
-You saw me bleeding and decided to help me? How is that logic?
-I want to become a doctor, so when I saw your back, my instinct told me to follow you. I am sorry. I swear I saw nothing else. Please, don't kill me, he practically begged for him to spare his life.
