After he walks away I stand there for a couple of minutes thinking about what he said. I walk back into the cafeteria and go back to my spot. When I sit down the girls look at me questioningly.

"Well? What did he want?" Dani asks

"He just told me to stay out of things I didn't understand. And when I told him that he was lucky he didn't break his nose he said something about the other guy being lucky and that he deserved it." The girls all seem confused by that.

"Hmm, I wonder what happened," Taylor says. The other two nod in agreement.

We all finish our lunches and head to class. I walk into the art room and look for a place to sit. I find a seat in the middle of the room. I look around to see if there is anyone familiar from my other classes. Dani, Summer, and Taylor all have different classes so I don't know anyone in here. The bell rings and a guy comes and sits next to me since it is the last empty seat. I look at him and recognize him as one of Christian's friends from the cafeteria. He seems to recognize me too and smiles a little bit.

"So, you're the one who stopped Christian from beating up that jackass." He says bluntly.

"Yeah, I stopped him so what? What did he ever do to make him so angry anyway?"

"It's really not my place to say. It's kinda private." He replies. "Anyways my name is Connor." He holds his hand out to shake it. I shake his hand.

"Logan"

"Nice name. You know I've never seen someone put him in his place like that" He says humorously.

"Really? Does no one stand up to him?"

"I mean not really he's kinda intimidating if you haven't noticed. Also usually it's justified." I am about to ask him more about it when the teacher begins the class.

"Welcome everyone, my name is Ms. Cameron and I am very excited to start this year off. As you know this is the advanced art class so I am excited to see what each and every one of you can do." She says cheerfully. This makes me very excited. I have always loved art and being able to take a challenging class is just what I want. I look over at Conner who looks Just as excited as me.

"For our first assignment, I want you all to draw a person who has impacted your life." Ms. Cameron says. "It can be a positive or negative impact, whatever you feel comfortable with."

Her statement makes me think of him, he has impacted my life extremely negatively. I shake my head and decide to draw my best friend Megan. She is one of my favorite people in the world and she helped me get through the last year. Ms. Cameron gives us a sketchbook and I begin working. I pull up a picture of Meg and start sketching her. I smile as I begin to outline her features. I work on my drawing until the bell rings. When the bell rings I pack up my things and head to my next class.

Why did she move out of California? Who knows? Oh wait, I do. Also, fair warning she talks about not trusting people and not letting them in or whatever but we'll see how long that sticks or doesn't stick. XO my lovely readers.
