Thank you to everyone who has read my story so far and those who plan on reading it later, it means a lot to me. Also, I am currently in the works for a second book so if the updates are slow that is the reason aside from school.

I wake up to the faint sound of speaking. I look around and see my parents standing in my doorway. I move to sit up but can't because Christian's arm is still wrapped around me.
Shit.
I can only imagine what they think. Are they going to be mad?
"Morning," My dad says.
"It's the afternoon," I reply dryly.
"Evening actually," He replies. What?
"What? What time is it?"
"5,"
"Christian you need to wake up," I say shaking him.
"No, let him sleep," My mom says. "He looks comfortable, and in the meantime, you can come talk to us." I nod slipping out of bed and walking into the hall.

"I swear it's not what it looks like," I say quickly.
"It looks like you two were hanging out and then fell asleep," My mom says slowly, "But we would still like you to explain," I nod.
"Ok, I invited Christian over so I could tell him about what happened in California," My dad shifts uncomfortably. "He's been so great these past couple of months and I really trust him. I knew I would have to talk about it, like really talk about it with somebody and he seemed to be a safe place to start," I say with a soft smile.
"I'm glad he makes you feel safe but I want you to be cautious, I don't want you to rush into anything,"
"I won't, I'm not looking for anything right now. I just feel safe around him, I know he isn't like Brandon. I told him everything that happened, I told him about that night and the aftermath. I know you guys aren't open to trusting anyone with me but he's good and he cares about me."
"Alright, honey. He is going to have a talk with me though, and I want him to stay for dinner. And if it's alright with his parents he can stay tonight," My dad says.
"Ok, I'll go talk to him," I quickly walk back into my room and towards my bed. I shake Christian's shoulder and whisper his name. He rolls over and opens his eyes groggily. He grabs my arms and drags me onto the bed. "Christian!" I shriek, "Let me go,"
He lets go of me and sits up.
"What time is it," He asks.
"Like 5:20,"
"Shit," He mutters.
"What's wrong?"
"Your parents, are they gonna be mad if they find me here alone with you?" He asks worriedly. I laugh and shake my head.
"They already know you're here, they walked in on us asleep. They actually want you to stay the night, I think they are afraid of having me be alone after Brandon coming back."
"Stay the night? Are you sure?"
"You don't have to if you don't want to,"
"No I'll stay, I just have to text my mom," I nod and head out to the kitchen.

"I can't believe you did that," I remark laughing loudly.
"What can I say, I did what needed to be done," Christian says. I roll my eyes and look at my parents, they both look content and seem to be enjoying having Christian here. As am I.
"Why don't you two go to the living room while we clean up," My mom says.
"No, it's fine mom, we've got it," Christian and I stand and begin to take the dishes into the kitchen.
"Your parents are really great,"
"Yeah, I'm pretty lucky," I reply smiling softly.
"They really care about you, I can tell just by the way they look at you," I smile and start washing the dishes. Christian hands me the rest of them and then starts drying them off. I smile softly thinking of how great these past two months have been. "What are you smiling about?"
"I was just thinking about how great these last few months have been, they've really given me a chance to heal. I know I still have further to go but I've made so much progress since coming here." I finish up the last of the dishes and dry off my hands. "Hey, mom we're gonna go to my room now,"
"Alright sweetie,"
"Come on I need to tell you about my plan for the showcase.
