My alarm goes off loudly and I fight the urge to throw it across the room. I turn off my alarm and slowly get out of bed. I am dreading going to school in fear of seeing Jack again but I know that I can't put my life on hold out of fear so I get ready for school. I brush my teeth and curl my hair. I put some mascara on and then go pick my outfit. I put on a blue plaid midi skirt with a grey sweater to cover the bruises on my wrists. After getting dressed I pack my school bag and dance bag. I make sure to put a cardigan in for class. After packing my bags I go downstairs to get breakfast. I toast a blueberry bagel and put cream cheese on it. I eat my bagel and then get ready to leave. I say goodbye to my parents and then head out to my car. I turn on the radio and drive towards the school. I pull into my usual parking spot when I get to the school. I grab my bags out of my car and head inside. I walk towards my locker and see the girls waiting for me. I smile at them and unlock my locker. I put my bags away and grab out what I need for class. Once I shut my locker Taylor speaks up.

"So, how are you feeling?" She asks.

"A lot better actually. Talking to Meg helped a lot." I reply.

"Who's Meg?" Summer asks

"Oh, she's my best friend. When something is bothering me she can always calm me down." I say with a smile. Summer and Taylor walk away to go to their classes and then me and Dani head to English.

"I'm glad that you're feeling better today. I was really worried about you." She says. I smile and we sit down at our desks. We pull out our worksheets from Friday and the teacher goes over the answers. After going over our worksheets our teacher passes out yet another worksheet for us to complete. Yay. Note the sarcasm. Anyways I'm almost done working on the worksheet when I feel Dani nudge my arm.

"What?" I whisper

"Honestly nothing I'm just bored." She replies. I laugh at her response and shake my head.

"That's a great reason to interrupt me while I'm working,"

"Oh, don't pretend that you're not almost done anyway," She teases

"Ok, you've caught me," I laugh raising my hands in surrender. The bell rings and we pack up our things and walk out of the classroom. We say goodbye and I walk towards my math class. I enter and see that Christian is already at our desk which is unusual since I always get here first.

"You're here early," I say as I take a seat at my desk.

"Am I?" That is all he says in reply. Then he just stares at me like he is accessing me. After a while, I speak up.

"What?" I raise an eyebrow at him expectantly.

"How are your wrists?" This catches me a little of guard. I'm even more caught off guard when he reaches over and grabs one of my wrists. He looks at me to ask if it was ok and when I nod he moves my sleeve to look at my bruise. He gently rubs his thumb over the bruise while looking at it intently. "Does it still hurt?" I nod. He grabs my other wrist and softly rubs over it like he did with my first one. He is so gentle and caring. It's very different from the guy I met only a week ago. We make eye contact for a while. We just stare into each other's eyes until the teacher begins to talk. We both quickly turn towards the front and I readjust my sleeves to cover my wrists once again. The teacher lectures for most of the class about different equations and then gives us the last ten minutes of free time. I turn to see Christian staring at me.

"What?" I ask raising my eyebrows at him.

"Can I ask you a personal question," I hesitate for a second before answering.

"Sure,"

"Why did you move here?"

"That's not something I want to talk about here," I reply.
