Chapter Thirty Two.
Xavia sat on the floor of the living room, bedazzling a pair of white Crocs as The Parkers played on tv. She laughed loudly as Nikki ran after Professor Oglevee, which she did in pretty much every episode.
In the midst of her watching the show, her phone rung. She looked over at it, and saw that the screen said 'Zeebra Cake ❤️🤣🦓' which meant that Zealand was calling her.Xavi rolled her eyes, snatching the phone off of the carpet and pressing the green answer button.
"What do you want?" She said to him, holding the device between her shoulder and ear as she put a drop of E6000 glue on the shoe.
"Um..hello to you too?" He said. "I was just calling to see if you're alright."
"Hmm let's see, considering the fact that your girlfriend and her follow the leader ass friends tried to gang up on me in the restroom today, I'd say I'm doing pretty damn good." Xavia told him sarcastically.
"Xavi, I'm sorry about that on Hailey's behalf, I really am. She just has trust issues that she's still working on. I reassured her that there's nothing going on between us, though."
"What does that have to do with me? It's not my fault that she's insecure. She had the nerve to say that I needed to distance myself from you because we're too close for her liking. Chile, please!" Xavia exclaimed, grabbing her tweezers and placing a rhinestone into the glue.
Zealand cleared his throat. "I mean, maybe we should kind of give each other space right now." He said lowly, causing Xavi to frown.
"Are you being forreal? You actually agree with her?!"
"Look, I don't want to jeopardize anything with Hailey, okay? She's my girlfriend at the end of the day. I have to respect her wishes." Zee told her with a slight shrug.
Xavia sucked her teeth and shook her head. "You know what, fuck you Zealand. Ever since you started dating that girl, you haven't been the same. You have your head shoved so far up Hailey's ass, you can't even smell her bullshit. You might have a girlfriend, but you've officially just lost a friend." With that being said, she hung up in his face before he could even respond.
Zealand held the phone, stunned at what just happened. A sigh left his lips as he stood up from his seat. His fifteen minute break was now over, and it was time for him to get back out on the floor. Zee slid his phone in the back pocket of his pants, before exiting the break room. Trying to finish up the last two hours of work would now be hard, considering that the conversation he and Xavia had just had would be on his mind.
Now heavily irritated, Xavia gathered all of her materials that she was using to bling out her Crocs and took them into her room. She put everything in clear plastic storage bins and decided to call it a night. Her focus was gone, and she didn't feel like doing anything but taking a shower and chilling.
Xavi grabbed some lounge clothes and underwear, before going into the bathroom. She put her shower cap on, before turning on the water and making sure it was steaming hot, just how she liked it.
When the water was just right, she got in and started washing her body with Dove soap. She also used an exfoliating scrub by Dove and a body wash that smelled like roses.
Fifteen minutes later, she got out and wrapped a towel around her body. Xavia went back in room to put on her clothes and lotion up. She then put on deodorant and sprayed herself with Twilight Woods by Bath & Body Works. It was a nice fall scent and she loved it.
