Chapter 4
I can feel the adrenaline rush as we swing silently from one light to another. Approaching threateningly close to the huge atom... Thing...
We separate into the teams Don and I planned before entering the room, Raph with Mikey. They're to the right. Me and Don on the left. All of us heading to our old foes in different directions and preparing for a fight.
I can tell Raph's going for the Tricaratons. He holds long grudges and seems to really enjoy fighting them. That means he and Mike will have all the foot ninja as well.
Dons off to all the brilliant scientists, which until seeing them now, all together I didn't realize we had so many... I hope he'll be ok on his own...
It took a bit of word play, but I'm going to The Shredder, alone. I get his gosh dang elate ninja guard as well.
That leaves our last ones to Mikey, all the odd ones out are going to fight the odd one in our family...
Looking down on all of them is making me nervous. What if something goes wrong? I won't be able to help! No! Leonardo! You have to trust your brothers! A leader protects, but he also trusts remember!
Trust Dons brains....
Trust Raph's raph.
Trust Mikey's random genius.
Getting into position on the rafter I look up and see them all staring at me.
Trust them, because they're trusting me! Thinking quickly about what The Shredder had been talking about previously. If we fail every one we love, or even barely know, will die. New York will be gone, it that's not even scratching the surface of what this thing can do.
Trust Don's intellect.
"Cut the red wire we'll all die. Cut the blue, black, green, purple, AND yellow wires at the exact same time and the thing will explode in a matter of minutes. No fixes! If not done precisely on point.... Bye bye North America." Don had told us after thinking about Mikes question from earlier. No biggy, I got this... We got this.
Taking a deep breath I give the signal, and in a flash 4 different colors magically appear on opposite sides of the room slashing, hitting, KILLING, while they still have the element of surprise on their hands. All of us knowing that this moment won't last for much longer. This is about to get brutal.
I feel my sword slice.
What am I talking about?! It already has!
