Hey my (names) I'm at 800 reads, (≧∇≦) thank you so much!!
Also shout out to (taylorbeard22) for drawing me that awesome picture up there. Any way no more stalling! Here you go guys,
-----------------------------------------------------

I open my eyes to see bright green ones staring right back at me. In shock I jump up in surprise just to topple to ground unable to sustain my weight.
"Are you okay?!" Beatrice asks after saying a sincere apology. I nod gruffly and cling to the vines and moss on the stone wall. She grabs my arm and I balance my self out, afterward we walk into the night.
The walk that night lasted forever, both of us stayed quiet. Me pondering on and on about my dream, and Beatrice staring out into space. I was thankful for the silence for a few hours, but after a few breaks I got worried. We stopped at a gas station and hid in the back to sleep for the day. We both looked at each of and knew there was a problem. I got to the question first so she spoke,
"I'm... Different. Leo, there is no point denying it." She stopped me from talking, "I'm covered in orange fur, I'm paler than I ever was, my black hair is becoming wispier. I'm changing in a way that no one I grew up with could ever imagine."
I looked in to her eyes waiting for her point.
"Sooo... What if they don't know me? What if I'm not accepted!"
There it was, her worst fear, "Then you aren't supposed to be there. You were meant to live a different life... Hey... you've spoke so highly of your religion, but you're so paranoid. Why?"
She gave a sad yet understanding look at me, "There isn't anything wrong with God, I'm a sinner and I don't trust him enough. You're right though, if I'm not meant to be there then I'm not meant to be there. Now tell me about your dream."
I blinked in surprise, "How did you-?"
"Oh please you've told me all about your other nightmares, I've caught on."
•••

"So, I was there with you?" Beatrice asks listening to the end of my story.
I nod, my cheeks a deep scarlet. She looks at me thinking,
"I... Wow.." She puts her hands in her face, "we should have gone to NewYork first. Leo I'm so sorry! You lost your family and I wanted to go back to my home first! I'm so inconsiderate!"
My eyes widen in shock, "What are you talking about?! You've been away for five years! I'd never allow you to go to The BigApple first, it'd be wrong of me to dream of going home before you... Any way, Its not a big deal. You've been in the dark three years longer than me. That's three years longer than me seeing happy faces, feeling wind, seeing the glow of night, the shine of day-"
She burns with embarrassment and stands up quickly. Forcing her eyes away from mine, she heads for the cellar door.
"Where-?"
"Food, we're in a gas station." She closes the door behind her with a quiet slam.
I mentally slap my self, 'what did I do?'

In a daze I hear a creek of the door and the light steps of a fox. She tosses some bags onto me and pulls off the burly coat she's wearing.
"Okay, listen... Thank you. I- I just..." She pulls down the fedora over her eyes, "It's still new to me, the out side world. The idea of what I prayed for so long for coming true... It's intimidating."
I nod, "yeah."
We sit in silence and eat, trying not to think of the past.
After about an hour the door begins to creak again and the two of us grab the bags and dash silently into the darkness. I see Beatrice slip behind a metal cupboard before I hop onto a desk and summersault to a support beam.
I stare intently at the people who walk in and am underwhelmed. Teenagers, with tattoos and nose rings. I let out a silent sigh and watch them inattentively.
"How the hell do we convince them to let us join?" The purple haired boy asks with a gruff and weary voice.
"I don't care, if we get to see their b****s then I'll do any thing. My old man will learn better to treat me right if the idiot sees me with that awesome dragon on my shoulder!" A older boy with a tattoo running across his face responds with sneer.
I shiver in disgust and debate wether to jump down and confront the wanna be purple dragons, or wait them out until they leave the cellar.
I decide against it, even this far away from New York the gang exists. If I can't convince the boys to stay away from the Purple Dragons then I'll have to silence them. If I don't, it will inevitably reach Oroku Saki or Karai.
I lye there on the cold metal beam for what feels like hours, concentrating purely on keeping the silence until the two boys finish raiding the room. To my dismay the boys take their time to search to room and the last place they decide to look is the metal cupboard in the corner.
Oh no...
"Oh my-!!"
OH NO..
"Daniel look at this... Thing!" The purple haired boys calls over.
I leap down in silence after the two crowd around Beatrice gawking, I'm sure. She smiles nervously at the two and looks at me once to show that she can see me. She begins speaking calmly about some nonsense to the boys who advance toward the fox girl with malicious figuring.
Not with me around you won't!
I jump behind the boys, grab their heads, and ram the two together. They crumple to the floor and we stare at each other in bewilderment.
"Well that just happened, thank you Leo." Was all the black hair girl could say before grabbing the boys heads and checking their pulses.
"Sorry, did I do it to hard?" I ask looking over the teens bodies with unhidden disgust.
She shakes her head and prays for the two. I shake my head as well, but for a totally different reason.
Praying for monsters that want to become murdering beasts! I will never understand her.
She finishes and gets up sighing. The fedora covering her ears still, we pull on our trench clocks and head for the door.
"To Clear Water Florida." She hums with bliss.
"Yup, just a few more weeks." I smile at her with excitement, she returns the grin after saying,
"Thank you for not killing them."
I nod blushing, I've changed...
We grab hands and look at the map. I smile gleefully, "you think that gas station has a G.P.S?"
Beatrice laughs and we begin walking.
