15 nights more till the next full moon, the night Jimin anticipated yet again.
This time he was more impatient, he needed answers and the next full moon was his last string of hope. He wished to find a new clue about his mate and prove everyone wrong.
He dreaded the opposite possibilities of his wishful thinking. He would be forced to mate with a Lazar, this one being personally selected by his father.
He would then have to claim that Lazar as his true mate and hide the fact that he never really had a true mate before.
It had been 2 weeks since Namjoon proclaimed that Jimin's 'potential mate' was dead.
Jimin never heard the reasoning, he couldn't bring himself to know the logic behind how his mate possibly died or perhaps how Namjoon reached the conclusion.
On the top of all this, how could he question an Ingvar?
Ingvars always made right proclaims, they were rarely wrong.
Jimin at all times, blindly believed Namjoon, no matter how hard it was to digest the bad news. But this time he couldn't accept that fact.
Somewhere deep within, his soul had different visions, these were the visions that surfaced and kept him alive, securing him from turbulence that occurred inside on regular basis.
He tried really hard to pretend that he was fine from outside, flashed his smile at every other Axar and acted as if there wasn't even a speck of misery flecking his otherwise dull face.
His dark circles and paler face held a different story, but who cared to worry about his mental stability as long as he was physically fine.
Jimin spent sleepless nights with toxicity clouding his mind.
Whenever unwanted thoughts obscured his mind and he felt like he had reached at the end of his heartbeat, he would often think about his mate.
Envisioning his mate beside him and deluding his mind just so that he would stop himself from jumping off the cliff.
This continuous chains of what ifs and maybes were strangling him, choking his mind and making it difficult for him to breathe.
Jimin laid on his bed staring at the ceiling as he let his mind drive to farther lengths only to get startled by a cheerful Hobi, who was knocking the door wildly on the other end.
Hoseok walked in when there was no response from inside. Jimin was now banned from locking the door and anyone could enter the room with or without Jimin's permission.
Hoseok carried a tray full of mouth-watering food and retorted in jovial manner, "Here's your supper!"
Jimin sighed, rolling on the rarer side of bed and replied in a sulky tone, "I don't want to eat anything, just let me be."
"Jimin get up now! You barely ate anything these past few days and stop throwing a tantrum over food." Hoseok went over to Jimin and made him sit upright, making Jimin grunt in response.
"Hyung! I told you I don't have an appetite and if I feel like eating, I can get it by myself. Don't worry about me." Jimin reassured him and repeated the same thing again.
"I brought my supper along with yours and I am going to eat it here, with you. I don't care whether you're hungry or not, I am going to munch on this scruptious Jajangmyeon and so are you." Hoseok rebounded in a menacing voice while arranging the side dishes on the table.
Jimin gave up and sat right next to Hoseok who was already savouring the black bean noodles.
Hoseok decided to break the transient taciturnity and tried to start a conversation, "When was the last time you heard from your father?"
Jimin's sulky expressions became more insipid. He dropped his chopsticks and glowered at Hoseok.
He intoned, "The day my mate was declared dead for him, haven't heard from him since. I don't think he cares about me anymore."
Hoseok gulped down the food hastily, wrong question.
He then precipitously spoke up, "I'll be honest with you Jimin, your dad; the king ordered me to deliver a message to you."
Jimin got up from his seat and landed straight on the bed, he wasn't even surprised.
"I don't want to hear any message, but you'll get in trouble if you fail to do your job. So, for your sake, I'll listen to you this one time. What is it?" he glanced again at Hoseok with bored expressions.
Hoseok breathed a sigh of relief and speedily alleged,
"The King wants you to meet a Lazar at 4pm today. He-he choose that Lazar as your future mate."

Let me know your thoughts...
I haven't updated in so long. However, I'll be updating more frequently from now onwards.
The thoughts Jimin is feeling right now are written from my own experience... I am lately going through some shit and decided to vent it out by writing, it somehow coincides with the story.
My dear dreamies, stay tuned!!
