☺︎︎ Chapter Sixty-Two

Jeno looks around once they've arrived at the vampire dimension, and he's got to be honest, Jaemin was right.

Everywhere– so far– was dangerous and slightly creepy. It's dark and a lot of sharp thorns on the ground.

And like what Hendery had mentioned to him, the place looked like there was a war currently going on.

Thinking about it, Jeno assumes it must be because of the absence of a ruler. There's no king nor queen right now, no responsibility and much rules.

None of those things, equals total chaos. Some vampires will go against each other to fight over the empty throne, supposedly Jaemin Na's.

But the vampire prince is still going through some issues about it right now.

Jaemin quickly grabs Jeno's hand and pulls him closer to his side once there was a black car stopping in front of them, his grip tightens when fellow vampires comes face to face with him.

"Dear prince Na, long time no see." One of the guys said, red eyes flickering towards Jeno.

The human boy feels nervous just by the intimidating red eyes scanning him up and down, "he's with me." Jaemin spoke up beside him with a cold face.

Yet his tone was just strict and protective, making Jeno feel a little at ease that he didn't need to do or say anything.

"Who is he, dear prince Na?" Another guy asks.

The vampire prince bites the inside of his cheek, "I will tell you when we arrive at the palace, my parents are my main priority right now." He said.

Nodding obediently, the guys make way for the two boys to come near the car, one of the vampires opens the back door for them before closing it once they got in.

The car ride was silent, and Jeno usually doesn't stick with silence. But right now, he's thankful for it as he didn't really want to associate with these vampire men with them.

He has to only stick with Jaemin, never associate with anyone else without his vampire boyfriend's permission.

For all he knows, he would've been dead right this second if he didn't have the magical soulmate necklace.

And luckily, no one can have it. Jaemin had told him once they entered the portal that the jewelry is like a forbidden object for others to touch.

It's completely locked around Jeno's neck, the human boy can't take it off anymore– not like he even wanted to in the first place– and Jaemin warned him that if someone else dares to touch it, it sends them a shock.

Sure a lot of people would think it's a super possessive thing to do, but maybe Jaemin's possessiveness is to protect Jeno.

Besides, those people are humans, clueless humans after all, Jaemin would like to prefer. They know nothing about the vampire ways.

And they certainly don't know anything about a vampire and human soulmate relationship.

It's not like him and Jeno are the very first ones, of course not, there's others too. But they are one of the rarest which is where the human hasn't been turned yet.
