Tw: mentions of physical abuse

Billy tucked a stray piece of my hair behind my ear, and leaned in to kiss me. I pushed him away, so confused about my conflicting emotions. I should be happy I was getting attention from a boy, right?

*

Hopper pulled me into the police station early of a morning, shortly after Billy had first hit me. I didn't tell him though, of course I didn't.

*

Billy grew angry after I was avoiding him again and again. He grabbed my wrists in an act of fury, not realising how much he was hurting me. I tried to pull away, but could only cry out. There was a look in his eye - a cool detachment - that told me everything I needed to know. He wasn't going to let go.

*

Hopper just sat silently as I broke down into tears when he asked about the bruises on my wrists, my cheek, my neck. He didn't know how to respond, and I didn't know how to hide it any longer.

*

I remember the look on Steve's face when he saw the bruising, he was so angry. So confused. But I didn't tell him it was Billy.

I haven't told anyone to this day.
