ou've known Mikey for such a long time, ever since he was a kid. Started to get in a relationship with him when you guys turned 16. Everything were just doing great, until the fight between Toman And Tenjiku happened. The night was so rough for him, everything happened so fast, death, grieving, it all happened too fast. Times flies just like that.

But you still stay with him, even at his worst. When he loses Emma and Izana , you were by his side, he made all of his friends despise him, you were by his side, until now, he become a criminal. You're still by his side. What is that so special about him that you wouldn't leave him ?
And what is so special about you that made it's hard for him to let you go ?

One night of a conversation between you and him. At late night, where the world was sleeping and it's like just you both are alive. Sitting on the rooftop.
"Hey, y/n" Mikey said with his soft voice.
"Yes Mikey ?" You replied with a smile. He gave you a soft smile back.
"Why did you chose to stay with me ?" He said lowering his head.
No voices were followed after that. You didn't know what to say. Is it important to state a reason why do you chose to stay with him ?
You sighed before speaking,
"Manjiro, it doesn't matter whether I have a reason or don't have a reason for choosing to stay with you. You know I'll always stay by your side." He layed his head on your shoulder.
"But I did so many bad things." He said. You can see tears starting to form in his eyes.
"I didn't saved Emma and Izana, I betrayed all of my friends, and I...I became the worst of myself." He sobbed. It hurts seeing him like this, seeing him in such pain.
"All throughout my life , I never knew what is actually happiness, not even a day I didn't feel any sort of pain or guilt." He sobbed while looking down at his feet.
You lift up his chin to see his face and wipe his tears.
"Love, it's not your fault. You know well that it's not yours, you can't control your dark impulse. We both know that you have no intention, not even a slight, to betray your friends. And it's not your fault that you couldn't save Emma and Izana. Death sometimes is unexpected, some people were not even sick before leaving us, some people killed themselves even though they look happy outside, because you never know what's going inside their mind..." You hold his face in your palms.
"...even if the world turn its back on you, you know you can always count on me to be by your side." You gave him a warm smile. The smile that gave him comforts. You are his safe place, the place where he can breakdown, where he can act like himself, a place where he don't need to act strong even when he's weak. You are his lover.

Wondering where did you go wrong, how can it turned out to be like this. He left you all alone just because of an arguement. No sign of him coming back. Guilt is the only thing you feel now, why did you even say that at the first place.

Y/N's POV (Flashback)
Mikey came home.
"Welcome hom-" he slammed the door. Don't know what get him so frustrated. I walk slowly towards him,
"Love are you okay ?" I asked concerned. Still no response from him,
"Mikey are yo-" I said while putting my hands on his shoulders just to be cut off by him with a yell.
"GOD YOU'RE SO ANNOYING Y/N, CAN'T YOU JUST SIT DOWN AND NOT BE ANNOYING ?" he said making me widened my eyes.
"Mikey , what's gotten into you.." you said not believing what just happened.
"WHAT'S GOTTEN INTO ME ? YOU WHAT'S GOTTEN INTO YOU, YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!"
You clenched your fist. You can't hold in it anymore you've been patient with him for too long.
"No Sano, you are annoying. All I did was just asking you if you're okay or not, every single fucking time you go home, you're like this, and blame me" you look at him with a stern look.
"It's cause you really are annoying, y/n" he said under his breath.
"Annoying ? Oh is that so ? Then who's the one who came at me everytime he have problems, hm ? Tell me Mikey who is it ? I'm always by your side and this is what you give back ? THIS IS HOW YOU REPAY ME ?" you yelled at him tears running down through your cheeks. Frustrated by his behavior. You continue to cry not looking at him,
"Look y/n , I... I'm sorry okay ?" You pushed him away from you.
"Leave." He looked at you beyond belief.
"What...."
"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE." He steps away from you. Looking at you before leaving. You fall down on your knees sobbing.

Ends of Flashback
"IS HE TRYING TO KILL HIMSELF ?" you heard from a far. Not so far, you were walking down the street. Everybody was pointing up at the the top of the building, it looks like someone is trying to themself. That's when it hits you , it's Mikey. You quickly run into the building to look for him. Panic began to attack you.
'Please don't die' the words keep repeating in your head.

You saw him were about to jump.
"MIKEY!" he turned around shock to see you here.
"Y/N , what are you doing here....."
He asked you.
"No that's not important, Mikey please don't." You said slowly walking towards him.
"But this the only way right ?"
"What...."
"The only way that I can stop myself from hurting others and you especially y/n , I can't control it, all throughout my life was just pain. Now let me go y/n."
Before you even said anything, he jumped off , you immediately run to him, and grab his hand.
"Come on mikey , grip onto my hand , we still can start over and save you."
"Let me go y/n."
"No"
"I hurt you didn't I s-"
"OH MY FUCKING GOD MANJIRO JUST GRAB ONTO MY HAND AND LISTEN ALREADY." with that he grab onto your hand.

Breathing heavily as you slapped him,"what were you thinking..."
You hugged him,
"I'm sorry....." He said to you.
"Shhhh, it's okay , you're okay now." You said as you slowly rub his back calming him down.
He put his head on your neck hugging you back, sobbing hard.
"It's okay honey, you're okay now, let's start over okay ? I love you, I'm glad you're still here."
"I love you y/n , please don't leave me."
"I will never leave you, I will stay by your side , always and forever."
