Wars And Battles

It was a new record for Percy Jackson; not even a day at a new school and he was already on the headmistress office.
In his defense, this time, he wasn't called in for misbehaving or failing all of his classes, but rather to set the route course they– all demigods, legacies and clear sighted residing at Hogwarts– were to take from there on. Their deadline was well far away, the farthest deadline Percy has had the luxury of ever having in any of his quest, yet, it still loomed on the horizon urging them to work fast and wisely. To set the domino into motion was of ultimate importance.

While they counted with time, a whole twelve months of it, by every second it ticked away and their chances of success ticked away with it. Too many thing had to align for Hecate's little world to thrive, for them to waste Kronos domaine.

One year, that's how much time they counted with to fully understand the extend of the enemies– a devil(ish) called Voldemort– army; train themselves to fight with wands; train wizards to fight with weapons; gain the wizards trust and introduce them to the world of their creators without crossing the thin line between allowed and punishable with death.

Put in perspective, one year seemed a little too rushed. Demigods, they were born with instincts to get them through war, they were born for war. Demigods, it was in their blood to train hard, it was survival instinct to became better soldiers, it was life or death, every day, for them. But wizards... they weren't built to endure wars as a hobby. They were more prone to break, to not fight as hard, to not train as hard. One year, for wizards, was a blink of an eye.

"Yes, you are right miss Chase, we can't introduce the student, nor the teachers, to our world right away, that will only cause havoc. And you are also right, we can't risk the chance of any student getting the word out before it is ultimately necessary. If even whispers of our suspicions get to Voldemort's ranks our chances of a surprise attack will be cut thin. Still, miss Granger does count with a point, if we are to tell about the gods without a certainty of previous knowledge, that will only be contra productive."
"Then what do you propose we do professor?" Will asked.
"If it is acceptable with my mother's conditions of discretion, we could add a mandatory course of Greeks and Romans myths to the student study course" Severus offered.
"And the minister, will they accept this change?" Hermione questioned. With every word Hermione uttered, Percy convinced himself more and more that the fact that her and Annabeth were best friends and a pain to Chiron was nothing but true. And he wished he could have seen them together back in the days.
"This is of godly relevance, the minister's voice does not exist"
"Very well, I will get Hecate's approval," Minerva adjusted her gaze on professor Snape and professor Filtwick– a clear sighted–, "You make sure the course is taken seriously by the students" and, lastly, her gaze travelled to Percy, "And Perseus–"
"Percy"
"–Percy, I would like you to teach the course, of course, with the help of your friends."
"What? Are you sure Minerva? Anyone would be more appropriate to teach than me. Annabeth is a daughter of Athena, or Hermione or even Will. I can't teach"
"You very much can. And I think you to be the perfect man for the job"
"Percy, professor McGonagal is right. I've seen you at camp with the kids, they love your lessons. You make learning about the gods fun. I can't think off anyone better to do this. And, you'll have us there to help." If there was one thing Percy always trusted that was Annabeth's word;
"Okay, I'll do it"
"Thank you, Perseus"
"Percy"
"Now, Hermione dear, guide Annabeth and Nico to your common room and attend them on anything they were to need. Severus, if you are kind enough, lead young Percy to his common room. Miss Lovegood, if you could inform Mrs Malfoy about the events of tonight and kindly ask him to not miss any further meetings . Mrs Solace, if you could wait for me, I will reach you to your common room. And, everyone take extra care of the coins Miss Granger has resourced us"
