Alexis closed her eyes. " That is not my name."
Edma continued to remain unenlightened. " Pardon? This is a joke, correct?"
" My name is Alexis Centour. Not Adelina. " She said the name with a disgusted tone.
" My, how far did she go?" Edma murmured to herself. She didn't press more on the matter, but she promised herself to get the girl checked. She had a feeling that there was something that she was missing. ' She' being Adelina.
The rest of the ride was in silence. Luckily, the time it took to get to the Hall was only a half hour, by magic car.
It was only when the splendid gold dome came into view that Alexis looked up. She didn't comment, though no words were truly needed to express the beauty of the entire building. Just a few seconds passed, and the entire place called ' The Hall' came into view, fully.
The building was centuries old, though there were always new moderations. The solid gold dome was the most noticeable addition, but the rest of the building was just as elegant.
Painted glass made up one part of the building, and the entrance was a huge arch, made only of the most expensive jewels that could be found. The rest of the sectors were hidden by the overall building, but just a glimpse was enough to know that this was a palace of authority.
" This is the Hall. It isn't visible to humans. This is where all trials, international meetings, and about every important event takes place. The government runs the supernatural world from here." Edma explained, knowing that the girl wasn't going to ask. She didn't respond either.
" We have to register you here before we do anything." She reasoned, gearing up for an argument. None came. Not a word was uttered from Alexis -err- Adelina. Not since Edma had dropped the bomb.
The mentor convinced herself that the girl was simply exhausted, and that she would be back to her snappy, impolite self in a matter of time, when she got rest.
Alexis however, had no intention of speaking to the woman again. She didn't want to know more. And she didn't want to accept Adelina as her name.
Edma steered the car into a parking spot filled with shiny vehicles like hers. All flying, she assumed. The car lurched gently as it landed and made contact with the ground once again.
Edma, wordlessly, opened the driver's door and got out, expecting Alexis to follow her. She did. Together, though spaced to an extreme amount, they walked towards the great entrance. The marble doors, which loomed over them, were ten times their size.
Guards, all elegantly suited, stood in front of the doors. Edma stopped when she reached them. "Reason for visit?" A guard with a black suit, lined with a deep purple lining, asked.
" Admission of supernatural." Edma said calmly.
" Name?"
" Edma Saoirse Salmi."
" Name of the admitted?"
" Adelina Cassandra Etana Senarius"
The guard jumped back in shock. " Mrs. Senarius?" He whispered. Edma smiled, her expression twisting it to make it look like a smirk. The man in black looked alarmed, but another guard, one dressed in a similar suit, but with red linen instead, looked wishfully amazed. " Is she really?" The bronze one asked, clearly in a daze. " Yes Michael. Really" Edma turned to the guards. " May we pass?" The black suited one gulped, and nodded to his men. " Thank you Mr. Richards." Edma told him, grabbing Alexis's arm.
