Hope POV
Hope: "Did I do it right?"Josie walks over to me and looks over my math problem that I can't seem to get. She's helping me study for a test later on in the week
Josie: "No, you forgot a couple steps. Look-"
She start going over the problem again, but I'm not paying attention to what she's saying. All I can see is her. You know what's weird is, if I liked someone and they didn't like me back or something I would be like "oh well" but with her it's different. Why is she so special? Maybe it's because she's caring. No, that's not it. I can't pinpoint what it is, but as of now it's just Josie
Josie: "If you don't stop staring, your never gonna learn this"
Hope: "I'd rather stare"
Josie: "Yea, well I'd rather you pass"
Hope: "But Josie-"
Josie: "No buts. Just get it over with, then you can do whatever you want"
Hope: "Whatever I want?"
Josie: "If it's appropriate, then sure"
Hope: "What's your definition of "appropriate"?"
Josie: "Hope, please. Just do the work"
Hope: "Fine, can you go over it again?"
Josie: "So you can stare the entire time again? No thanks"
Hope: "You promised to help me, therefor you have to"
Josie sighs and starts going over the problem again, but I'm actually listening this time. With the occasional glances, of course
Josie: "See, it wasn't that bad, right?"
Hope: "Actually, it was horrible"
Josie: "Stop being dramatic, it was only 8 problems"
Hope: "Can we do something fun now?"
Josie: "Yea, what do you have in mind?"
Hope: "You...don't wanna know"
Good save, Hope
Josie: "I'm sure I don't. How about we watch a movie or something?"
Hope: "Sure"
I grab my computer and go to Netflix. We decide on a movie called "He's all that". So far it's pretty bad, but then again some movies get better as you get farther.
~One hour later~
Yea, so it never got better. If anything it got worse, and it's super cringe. I look over to see if Josie's still awake, which she is. We lock eyes for a second before she looks back at the screen. *knock knock*
Hope: "Come in"
Lizzie walks in and shuts the door behind her
Lizzie: "What are you two doing?"
Josie: "Watching a movie, what's up?"
Lizzie: "You know, the first time you guys watched a movie together you were all over each other. Why the change?"
Hope: "Well if you must know, we decided it'd be better for us to just stay friends"
Lizzie: "Friends? You two?"
Both me and Josie nod and Lizzie bursts out laughing. We give her confused looks
Lizzie: "Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh. But you've got to be joking because there's no way you can be friends"
