Dude, you scared me first (4x04 spoilers)

Josie POV
Hope and I are just now walking back to school. We spent maybe 2 and a half hours in the flower field talking, running, kissing, and even just laying there. Schools over now, and Lizzie has been blowing my phone up. I know I should answer, but I just wanted a little bit of time with just Hope and I. I know she'll be mad, but that's just something I'm willing to deal with

Hope: "What are we doing for the rest of the day?"

Josie: "Um, whatever you want, I guess"

Hope: "Well, what I want is to cuddle for the rest of our lives"

I smile at her and she wraps her arm around my shoulder. I tell her "I love you" and she gives me a short kiss before telling saying "I love me too". I frown and say "what about me?". She responds with "What about you?". "You don't love me anymore?". She says "Of course I do".

We walk in her room and she tells she'll be back in a minute

Hope POV
I'm walking to the kitchen to get food, because Josie and I haven't eaten since breakfast. I'm trying to hurry, so we can maybe watch a movie or something before curfew. I'm probably already getting in trouble for skipping and I don't want her to get in trouble with me.

Once I finish making food I start heading upstairs. I run into someone and they fall. I immediately start apologizing before even looking at them, but once I do look down all I see is a pissed off Lizzie Saltzman

Hope: "God, Lizzie I am so sorry"

I reach my hand out to help her up but she smacks it out of her face and stands by herself

Hope: "What's your problem?"

Lizzie: "My problem? You know what? Tell Josie to sleep at yours"

She angrily shoved something in my hand then stomped off. I look at it and it's a thumb drive. I furrow my eyebrows, but continue my walk back to my room.

Josie: "What's that?"

Hope: "A thumb drive. A very angry Lizzie gave it to me. Didn't tell me what's on it, though"

I grab my computer and plug it in while Josie gets off the bed and stands next to me, so she can see too. There are 5 different files in one folder. Each of them have have a tape number, then a room, but one was left unnamed and it's not a tape

Tape 1: Kitchen

Tape 2: Bathroom

Tape 3: Library

Tape 4: Flower Field

File: Unnamed

Me and Josie make eye contact for a second. We were just in the flower field, and Josie's only been there once. Curiously, I click that file first. It's a video, so I press play

~Tape 4~

Hope and Josie are laying in the middle of the field, hand in hand. The camera zooms in and all of a sudden you can hear what their saying

Hope: "Do you ever wonder what it would be like if we would've never met?"

Josie: "I'm sure it's crossed my mind once or twice, but not really"

Hope turns her head so she looking at Josie. Josie stares at the blue sky for a second before doing the same

Hope: "I love you, Josette and I'm happy we met"

Josie: "I love you too, Hope"

Then they both lean in and their lips softly touch.

~Real Life~

What the fuck?! "Someone was watching us" I whisper. It was to myself, but I was thinking aloud, I guess. Me and Jo watch the 3 other named tapes, and they're all the same thing. Me and Jo being intimate in the places in places around the school. They all have been within the last 3 weeks. We open the unnamed file and it's a message

Message: So, I see you got my thumb drive. I bet your both wondering who I am. I bet you wanna know why I'm "stalking" you. I'm sure there are many more questions, but it's for me to know, and for you to dot, dot, dot. You can destroy this if you want. I have copies. If you don't do exactly as I say, they'll go out to the entire student body. Oh, and of course the headmaster. We all know he wouldn't approve of this. I'll be in touch

I slam the computer closed and take the thumb drive out. I drop it to the floor and stomp on it, so it's broken. After that I throw it in the trash can and start pacing back and forth around the room

Josie POV
I'm still frozen in place, watching Hope pace around. All of a sudden she opens the door and walks out. I don't know what she's gonna do, so I hurriedly follow her. She's nit running, but she's going so fast that I have to jog to keep up. She makes it to Lizzie and my's room and just busts in the room. I get in a little after her and both MG and Lizzie are covering themselves with a thin sheet

Lizzie: "Hope, what the fuck!?"

Hope: "Very fucking funny Lizzie. How'd you even get the videos?"

Lizzie: "What videos?"

Hope: "Oh, so we're playing dumb now?"

Lizzie: "No, what are you talking about?"

Hope: "The thumb drive, Lizzie. Who gave it to you?"

Lizzie: "I didn't get it from anyone. It was slipped under the door with a card. It's on the desk"

I grab the card off the desk and it says "For Hope and Josie"

Lizzie: "I didn't look at it, in case it was like a kinky ass sex tape or something"

Josie: "Hope, go take a breather"

I look at her and she has pleading eyes. I obey and walk out of the room, and the school. I make my way through the woods, angry, confused, and scared. The flower field is way to far, so I settle at the old mill. Someone put up a punching bag, and I feel the need to hit something. I'm not really trying to fracture my hand again, so I hit that. Once wasn't enough, so I keep going until I tire myself out. I sit on the couch with my head in my hands. How did this happen? The worst part is that they could be watching either me or Josie right now. They could be close to one of us, and we wouldn't know. I hear a branch snap outside, so I get up and quietly walk over there. I rethink my choice and decide it's safer to hide, in case they're armed. A hooded person walks in with a backpack on. They take the backpack off then the hoodie. It's dark out, so I can't tell who it is. Then they open the bad and pulls out what appears to be...boxing gloves? They pull the chain hanging from the ceiling, to turn the light on and I let out a sigh of relief once I see who it is. I quietly stand up and walk up behind him, then set my hand on his shoulder. He jumps really hard and goes to hit me, but grabs his chest once he recognizes me

Raphael: "God, Hope. You scared me"

Hope: "Dude, you scared me first"

Raphael: "What are you doing out here?"

Hope: "I came here to calm down for a little while. What about you?"

He motions to the bag with a tight lipped smile. Well it's more a straight line than a smile

Raphael: "Same as you, I guess. I have anger issues, so I put this up and I come here when I need a...release, I guess you could say"

Hope: "Yea, I know the feeling. Well, I'm gonna go back to the school"

We say our goodbyes and I walk back to the school. It's dark out now, so it was when I got close to step when I realized Josie was waiting on me. I quietly take a seat next to her and lay my head on her shoulder. She lays her head on mine then grabs my hand and interlocks our fingers. "What are we gonna do?" I ask, mostly to myself but Josie too. She responds with "I don't know"

Hope: "Did you tell Lizzie what was on it?"

Josie: "No, I left right after you. It didn't wanna just stand there while they were naked"

I chuckle and suggest we go inside and go to bed.
