Two days. It's been two days since Blake and I kissed. I haven't been to the firehouse because TK didn't have a shift yesterday, and I stayed at home the day before.
The bell rings. I open it to find TK.
"Morning." He greets me.
"Morning."
"Let's go?" he asks.
I nod.
"Bye Dad." I shout into the house.
"Bye Pumpkin." Dad replies.
I hop over to TK's car, and get in.

I walk into the kitchen to find Tara and Blake there.
"Hey T." I say.
"Hey."
I glance at Blake. He's watching me. I quickly look away and turn to TK.
"Ty, can you make me an espresso?" I ask as TK walks over to the coffee maker.
"Sure."
I sit down at the counter. A few moments later, TK walks over with my espresso, and puts it in front of me.
"Oh, hey, what did your friend say?" he asks as I pick up my cup.
I give him a blank stare as I take a sip. "Hmm?"
"Your friend," he says, "the one who asked you for advice?"
That's when I remember the lie I told him.
"Mm, oh yeah." I say, setting my cup down. "Right, I told her what you told me." I say.
"And...?"
"She said that she'll..." I glance at Blake, who's still watching me. "That she'll talk to Hank about it."
"Okay."
I look back down and nod as I take a sip of my coffee.

"Hey." Blake says, sitting down next to me. I'm in the lounge, reading. The others are out in the garage, cleaning the trucks and taking inventory, or doing something else.
"Hi." I reply.
"Look, about the-" he starts, but before he could finish, the alarms go off, and everyone starts running towards the trucks.
"Take care." TK shouts as he runs past.
"You too, love you." I shout back, but he's already out the door and in the ambulance.
After they leave, I quickly stand and hop quickly to the bathroom. I close the door behind me, and hobble over to the sink. I stare at myself in the mirror.
Get it together. You know what you have to do, just go out there, and talk to him, my conscience tells me.
And, I know I should talk to him. I can't forget, no matter how hard I try. That kiss is etched in my head. Every time I close my eyes, I see his face. His blue eyes, his full lips, his perfect cheekbones.
"Come on Liara, you've got this." I say quietly to myself. "Now, stop cowering in a bathroom, and get your ass out there. Tell him how you feel."
I take a deep breath, and walk out of the bathroom. I go back to the lounge to find that Blake hasn't moved at all.
He watches me as I hop over to the sofa, and sit next to him.
"Are you okay?" he asks.
I nod. I take a deep breath, and look up at him.
