Sayuri's POV:

The next day, I was trying to find any job listings on the newspapers. Some weren't interesting, and there are only a few that are interesting to me. However, the few interesting jobs required some skills. Meme saw me reading the job listings and said, "You know, people would just work for a living."

"Yeah," I said. "But that's because people are being pressured by their parents. In this case, an annoying friend."

"Hey I've been trying to tell you that you don't need to work, becuase I'm the only person working."

"But still, though," I retorted. "It's not fair and I do need to get out of the house, more often. Besides, you work all week."

"True," she said, sipping her coffee. "But there are times when I have a day off, or a vacation."

"But more importantly, I need to pay off my student loans. I can't go bankrupt when I'm done with college."

Meme sighed and said, "Well you got a point there. There's no way I can stop you. After all, your parents are supporting you. If they found out that you're out of money, they'll kill you. I even saw your parents, before. Remember how you lost your phone during graduation, and your dad was yelling at you?"

I thought about that for a second, and then it just clicked me. "Right! I remember that. It was embarrassing how you had to see that."

"Well you know how your parents are," Meme said, sipping more of her coffee. "Imagine them finding out that you gone broke."

I already imagined it in my own head. I imagined that I'm living in a bum apartment, in a bad neighborhood. My parents would yell at me non-stop, until their faces are bright as a bright tomato. Then, my head just went back to reality. I can't let my parents yell at me, or find out that I'm not working to pay off my loans. So the best option that I can do is find a perfect job, and work until I get a new job.

After I was done with my breakfast, I went to three job interviews. The first job interview was at a department store. The manager of the department store said they will call me, and see if I get the job. The next job interview I went was at an insurance office. Just like the manager from the department store, the manager of the insurance office said the same thing.

Finally, the last job interview for the day was at a daycare center. It didn't go so well, because one of the kids were pulling my hair, and I swiped the baby boy's hand. The boy was crying like crazy, that I had to leave. I sure made a bad impression because the look on the person, who is the head of the day care, thinks that I don't care for children. I really do care for children, but I was so tired for looking for a perfect job for me to work.

After I left the daycare center, I decided to head back to Meme and I's apartment. I felt really bad that I made the poor little boy cry. I wish I could make things up, but it was already too late. I think the person who is the head of the daycare center doesn't want me to see her, again. As I came inside to our apartment room, Meme was relaxing in our couch watching TV. She saw me when I closed the door behind me and said, "Hey, buddy. How did everything go?"

My eyes were dreary and said, "Well so far, I might not a call back from two job interviews, and I messed up with the third job interview."

I told her everything about what happned, even the part when I swiped the baby boy's hand and made him cry. Meme's eyes widened, and she looks a little mad. "I just have one thing to say, and you need to remember that in the future," she said, feeling cool as a cucumber.

But as she takes a deep breath, her eyes narrowed and yelled, "NEVER... AND I MEAN EVER... TRY TO DO THAT IF YOU HAVE KIDS!"

I was feeling dizzy after she had yelled at me. Then, I pulled myself together and said, "I'm sorry, but I just had a long day, today. You know how frustrating it is to find a job, these days!"

"True," Meme said, going back to her unusual normality. "But still, don't ever do that. You know how much I love kids."

I sighed and continued, "Yes, Meme. I know you love kids. Even I love kids as much as you do. However, right now I've been through a lot of things. I think I should take a break, and see if anyone is gonna call back."

"Alright," Meme said. "But I'm telling you that it's ok if you won't get a chance. I'm with you all the way, pal."

I smiled and said, "Thanks, pal. I know you mean well."

At night, I went to bed and looked at all of my posters of my favorite hero of all time, Yugi Muto. He's so lean and cute. I'm pretty sure everyone in the world would want to get hands on him. In this case, they would want to work for him, so they can get closer to him. I just wish a miracle would happen to me. Maybe Yugi would swipe me off of my feet, and take all of my misery away. Right now, I'm already stressed out. After gazing into my posters of Yugi Muto, I turned off the lights and was sound asleep. Somehow, I'm sensing that I will have a chance to find a perfect job to work at.
