In Love With My Boss (Yami Yugi Fanfic)

Chapter 8

Sayuri's POV:

Few weeks have passed, and I sure am getting along with my boss really well. He has been taking me to lunches and eats, and tries to make work easy for me. Yugi still gives me a paycheck, and sometimes he gives me a raise. Everytime he gives me a raise, Yugi would always say, "Here you go, beautiful. You deserve it."

I always blush, everytime he says that. Boy, Yugi sure is head over heels with me. However, I can't just fall in love with him, right away. I have to get to know him first, and also he's my boss. I don't want to spur a ruckus, or get him in trouble. Who knows what might happen. In fact, I'm not sure if he's hiding secrets from me.

One thing for sure is that I have to be careful. Who knows what secrets might be holding back. As I made my way down to Yugi's office, I heard some commotion. I took a peek inside his office, trying to see while staying hidden. I see Yugi talking to Jaden Yuki! I've heard of him, before. Jaden met Yugi, before. He sure is cute, but yet funny. I can't believe I'm actually seeing this!

All I hear from both Yugi and Jaden is that it's been a while, since they last met. They were reminiscing the time that they traveled back in time, to stop the notorious Paradox. Wow... that I never heard of. I guess nobody knows about it but them. Things were getting good, until I was getting sleepy and fell over. As my face fell on the floor, I immediately stood up and yelled, "I didn't do anything!"

Jaden and Yugi stood up from their seats, and their mouths opened a little. I looked from their expression on their faces, and I made an awkward laugh. "Well... this sure is an awkward position to be in."

Yugi chuckles a bit and shakes his head. "No need to apologize, Sayuri," he finally said. "I wanted to show you my friend. Sayuri, this is my friend Jaden."

Jaden grinned at me took my hand to shake it. "It's please to meet you."

Jaden kissed my hand, and I blushed. From the corner of my eye, I can see Yugi's lips form into a little frown. Looks like someone is getting a little jealous. I don't think Jaden would mean no harm. "Anyway," he continued. "Jaden was a big fan of me just like you did. I remembered he bumped into me when we first met. Isn't that right, Jaden?"

Jaden laughed a bit and said, "It's true... I was late to school, and bumped into you."

I can see that blushness of embarrassment, on Jaden's face. Boy, Yugi really wants to make him embarrass. Not only that, he wants to get back at Jaden. You don't have to be jealous, all of a sudden, I thought.

Finally, I wanted to change the topic. "So what's the plan for today, Yugi?"

"Nothin' much, really," Yugi said. "I thought maybe all of us can get aquainted with each other."

Jaden smiled cheerfully and said, "That's a good plan, to me."

I can see tension in Yugi's eyes. He really wants to be nice, but yet he wishes to be with me more. Oh well... I'm pretty sure Jaden's not going to bug me, right?

Yami's POV:

Well things have been going awry. We had our lunch, and Jaden was making googly eyes at Sayuri. He even keeps touching her hand. I'm pretty sure he wants to get back at me for making him embarrassed. Ok, I admit. It may be a bad move, so that Sayuri can like me. I sure am a big jerk.

After we had our lunch, we decided to go to Domino Park. I was walking a little bit ahead of them, while Jaden was talking to Sayuri. The nerve of that guy, I thought.

He picks up a daisy, and gives it to her. She smiled beemingly and smells the flower. This is getting in my nerves, for the last time! I used my magic with a flick of my fingers, and suddenly, she was sneezing like crazy. Sayuri threw the flower away, and grabbed a tissue from her pocket, to blow on. I may be harsh, but at least it was worth it.
