In Love With My Boss (Yami Yugi Fanfic)

Chapter 10

Sayuri's POV:

First time ever, I had to see Yugi battle, and he actually won, just like those other times he had. His finishing move was the Dark Magician using his Dark Magic Attack. I was astounded by Yugi's performance.  He even defeated Mai, since I was getting a bit jealous of her. After all, she was trying to get hold of Yugi. Once they were done battling, Mai and Yugi shake hands. I head down and hugged Yugi. "You did great, Yugi."

Yugi and Mai were looking at me in shock, except Yugi was smiling down at me, and Mai was looking a bit jealous. "Why thank you, Sayuri," Yugi finally, said.

Mai was still giving off that jealous face at me, and a smirk was forming on the corner of my lips. Guess I got the last of laughs, I thought, happily.

Then, my mood changed as Mai walks up to both of us. "So ready to eat, like we planned?"

I pulled away from Yugi, and looked at Mai. Now she's getting the last laugh, when I can see the that subtle grin of hers. "Sure thing, Mai," Yugi answered.

We all head to the elevator, and took a couple floors up, where the restaurant is at. Few minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant, and took an empty table. Yugi was sitting at the middle, as Mai and I take our seats, next to him; Mai at Yugi's left side while I sit at his right. We both made a scowl face at each other, until the waiter hands us our menu. I looks at my own menu, just to distract myself from being all paranoid by the playboy bunny. Luckily, I did find something that looks delicious, and something to take my anger off. Delicious crabs! Whenever I feel angry, I would shuck the shells and claws off of the crab, and eat it viciously. And right now, I wanted go into that seafood delicacy, so that I would think I'm ripping Mai off. "So what are you ordering for our brunch, Sayuri," Yugi asked, interrupting my thought of crabs. '

I look up at him, and smiled a bit. "Just ordering some crabs. My favorite!"

"Oh, I see. What an excellent choice you made. I might as well have that, for my main course."

I grinned and look towards Mai. She narrowed her eyes at me, after Yugi agreed to take the same order, as I do. "Well I might as well have steak," Mai replied, just to keep her dignity.

After we took our order, Mai proceeds on flirting with Yugi. "So Yugi," Mai said, twirling her own lock of hair around. "This is a great venue that you picked."

"Well it's nothing, Mai," Yugi said, not looking at her.

Then, Yugi's body jolted, as if something just shocked him. I can see that Mai is gazing up on, and her arm is moving a bit. Without even looking down, I used my powers to detect what she was doing. My eyes widened to know that her hand was on Yugi's thigh. The she devil, I thought angrily.  

Since Yugi was feeling uneasy from Mai's attention, he decides to switch seats with me. "I uh... I think I feel a draft on the air vent," Yugi lied. "I think I'll sit here."

I was really happy that Yugi was only sitting next to me, and not between Mai and I. Mai seemed a bit agitated, after Yugi moved his seat. I do feel a bit uncomfortable now that I'm sitting next to Mai, since she'll be giving me the death glare for the rest of the brunch eon, but it was worth it.

After we finished our meal silently, we each paid for our meal and head out of the restaurant. We started to head  back to Yugi's apartment when all of a sudden, Mai pushes me on the way, and got ahead of me. She finally gets to be next to Yugi, after our main course. now I'm the one who's being a bit aggrivated from Mai's erotic behavior. We reached inside his room, and sat at the couch. Then, the phone rang, and Yugi said, "I'll be right back, girls. I just need to pick this special phone call."

Once Yugi left, Mai approached towards me and glared at me. "You think you would get him to be your man, huh?' Mai said.

I was feeling a bit offended, when she said that. "Excuse me Mai, but I was just trying to be a nice person, until you pushed it too far."

"Oh really?" Mai leans forward, and inspects me. "What makes you so special to Yugi?"

I narrow my eyes at Mai, and gritted my teeth. "I care for him, and he cares for me. And might I suggest you to back off!"

"Or else?"

I stood from the couch, and flames were starting to form on my hands. Mai backed off a bit, as she sees the fire inside of me. Literally! "So... Yugi found a freak show on the streets, huh?"

Suddenly, flames grew bigger and I stomped on the ground, making the floor shake. Mai fell to the ground, after the ground shook. "DON'T... YOU... DARE... CALL... ME... A FREAKSHOW!"

As I was about to burn that so-called biker girl, I heard a startled voice. "What in Ra's name is going on hear?!"

I turned to see Yugi, frozen and tensed at what he just witnessed. My powers died down, after Yugi was freaking out. I hesitated for a moment, and finally decided to head out of his apartment. "Sayuri," Yugi called, but I kept moving. "Sayuri, come back!"

After I left the apartment, I started walking home fast, even though no one was following me. Not even Yugi.
