Steve and Diana spent the next few weeks texting each other. Steve sending her silly photos and Diana responding with only emojis to frustrate him.

Diana then sent him this;

🎥🍿

Steve responded with:

I am not 100% sure what that first one is, but I am down to eat popcorn anytime with you.

Diana laughed as she texted back;

Movie night my place tonight, we are going to watch Fight Club.

The little bubbles popped up as Steve was typing away.

That doesn't sound very family friendly to me. Is it a love story?

Diana bit her bottom lip as she typed in her response.

Sure between a man with himself and a bloody fist.

Steve was finally catching on.

😳😳 if that's what you want to watch. I'll be there in an hour. See you soon 😘

Diana blushed at the text as she went to take a quick shower.

She set up a bowl of fresh popcorn as she popped in the movie into the blue ray player. There was a knock at the door and she ran over to answer it.

Steve stood there with a 6 pack of Heinkin and a plastic bag.

"What's in the bag, Rogers?" Diana asked as she crossed her arms teasingly.

"M&M's for you, and twizzlers for me."

"Ugh, I can't believe you like that stuff. It is literally plastic that you can digest."

"Hey woman, don't diss my candy, or else I will have to say something about your taste in movies."

"If you like, I can put on Nightmare on Elm St."

"I think I have an idea of what that's about, and I will have to pass." Steve stepped into her apartment as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. Steve sat at the end of the sectional as he opened up two beers.

"Here, I'll take the rest to the fridge." Diana grabbed the rest and placed them in the fridge.

Diana pushed play as the movie began. she sat in the middle of the sectional, only a foot away from Steve.

"I thought you women were into romance and Disney movies." He smirked over at her.

"Maybe the women you're used to Rogers. Real women like action and horror."

"There are no other women." Diana looked over at Steve as he looked at his beer and swirled the bottle around in his hand.

"You're telling me no woman has ever stole Steve Rogers' heart?"

"There was one woman, Peggy Carter. I met her before I was frozen. Strong, beautiful, and intelligent, you remind me of her in so many ways, Diana."

Diana smiled at him as she placed her hand on his knee.

"Thank you, Steve. I really appreciate that. She must have been one hell of a woman to have your heart."

"She only held it for a little while; sometimes, I am so disappointed in myself when I start to forget things about her. "

"Like what?"

"The way she smelled."

For some odd reason , Diana was overwhelmed with the smell of leather and very expensive cologne. Reminding her of Loki. She shook her head as she ran her fingers through her hair .

"It's going to happen eventually, Steve, where we lose little details. We only need to remember the good times we shared with them."

"I want to remember the good times now," Steve said. Before Diana could respond, Steve leaned over and kissed her.

It was nothing compared to how Loki had kissed her. His lips were soft and gentle; he took his time kissing her.

Diana wrapped her hand in his hair as she pulled him in closer . Steve wrapped his arm around her waist as he gently pushed her down on the couch, his lips never leaving hers.

Steve pushed Diana's hair back as he continued to kiss her passionately and thoroughly.

"OH, Steve," Diana mumbled against his lips. Steve's hand stroked Diana's cheek as he looked into her brown eyes. Her eyes bore into his deep blue ones.

Diana was lost in a daze. The only thing that broke her out of it was the knock at the door.

"Are you expecting someone?" Steve asked as he sat up and helped Diana up as well.

"No. Just you. Let me go see who that is," Diana shot up from the sectional as she peeked out through the peephole.

"Dad?" She said as she opened the door to let her father in. Her father walked into her apartment as he studied Rogers with a disdainful look.

Diana's father was attractive for his age in his 50s. He was also a college professor but for MIT in Boston. The last time he came up to visit her was last year on Christmas.

So, this was completely random for him.

"Dad, is everything okay? What are you doing here?"

"Diana," he leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. he then walked over to Steve and sized him up.

"Dad, this is my friend Steve Rogers."

"How do you do, sir?" Steve reached out his hand, but her father only looked at it with disgust. Diana shook her head as she reached around her father and grabbed Steve's hand.

"Steve, I'll text you later. Right now, I have to catch up with Daddy dearest."

"All right, you have a good evening, sir." Steve called out to Diana's father, but he only rolled his eyes. Steve then leaned over and kissed Diana goodnight.

Diana closed the door and locked it as she walked into her kitchen.

"Dad, can I get you something to drink?"

"Just some brandy," he called after her. He began to look at photos and trinkets on her wall.

There was a blast that shook the apartment as a gunshot went off; a bullet flew through the air and pierced Diana's father in the shoulder.

"OH My God Diana, get help!"

"Help yourself, now tell me who you are." Diana kept the gun aimed at her father.

"Diana!"

"I am going to count to three, and the next one is going in your head. My father always greeted my boyfriends. Even Tony, who he hated. My father also stopped drinking alcohol; he's been 12 years sober. Now tell me who you are!"

"I am your father!"

"One..."

"Diana, you would shoot your own dad?"

"Two...."

"Your mother would be disappointed."

"Three."

"Okay, fine! I yield!"

He threw his hands up as he began to change to his original form.

"Loki?"
