Flashback 100 years ago,
The sound of children's voices, giggles, and the dust twirling in the air was caused by the residents' children who kept running and chasing each other.
While a certain small little boy was plucking some beautiful white flowers, thinking of giving them to his sister and mother.
His bunny teeth peeked out as he could imagine how his sister was gonna read a storybook if he kept being a good boy.
"Help! Help! My daughter!!"
His doe eyes burst wide as his tiny ears caught someone's yelling from not so far and made his soft hair bounce when he snapped his head too fast towards the voice from where it came from.
He could see from a distance, a man carrying a little girl in his arm while crying hard, the people around were swarmed around the two. The man put the girl down, he lifted the girl's head to put it on his lap. You could tell that the little girl was the man's daughter based on his screaming for help earlier.
Jungkook, the bunny teeth boy, walked closer to crowded people that had started to gather. The little boy was trying to know what was actually happening.
"Jung! Come on, let's go home. Eomma is looking for you."
Before Jungkook could step closer, his body being lifted with a familiar voice was heard in his ears.
"B-but noona---" Jungkook tried to explain why he was still here, but Ji-eun, his sister, ignored him and quickly ran to their house as the cloud started to get dark and the thunder sound made both of them jolt now and then in the way.
"Jungkook-ah. My baby, are you okay?"
As soon as they stepped into their small home, Jungkook was greeted by his tender and lovely mother.
His head just bopped and answered his mom's question. "Good boy, come take a bath first then we'll eat the jajangmyeon I made, is it okay, sweetie?" Asked the mother, looking so soft in her son's eyes.
"Yess, eomma!" The toddler jumped excitedly and ran to his room.
Jiwoo, his mother chuckled softly before running her gaze towards her traumatic-looking daughter.
"What happened, dear?" Jiwoo quickly embraced her still little girl, while rubbing slowly down her curly hair.
"J-Jaehyuk o-oppa, he's gone now, mom. T-that cursed disease, I-I shouldn't let him go this morning." Ji-eun expressed all of his sadness, pain and guilt because she thought that this was all her fault.
Jiwoo's body tensed hearing her daughter's words, Jaehyuk; his future son in law, Ji-eun's fiance.
Jaehyuk was a good boy, such a kind soul, also being a good brother to Jungkook. Always spent his time with her small family, technically Jiwoo loved him as her own son. And he was gone now, forever. Tears built in her eyes.
