Chapter [27]

Author's pov; 

"You never told me you and Alpha of Moonstone are friends." Taehyung glared at the alpha. "A very close friend." He added with a huff. 

Jungkook breathed out a short laugh, stepping forward to hold the omega by his waist from behind. "Is my mate jealous?" 

Mate. Taehyung's face heated up, making him wonder how a single word could make him feel so many things. 

"I-I'm not." 

Chuckling, Jungkook leaned his chin over Taehyung's shoulder and hummed. "I have been friends with every head of the moonstone pack till this date. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about it before." 

Taehyung turned around in his alpha's hold. "I'm neither mad nor jealous, alpha. I'm just feeling upset that you didn't consider telling me about your friend." He played with the shirt's button of his alpha, pouting slightly. 

Jungkook grabbed his hands, gently guiding them around his neck. "I apologize for this, love. It wasn't my intention." He leaned in to brush his nose against the omega's. 

"Next time, do tell me what's happening with you or who you are close to. As your mate, I want to get to know them. Your friends are my friends, your problems are mine too." Taehyung caressed his cheek with a small smile. 

A smile curled Jungkook's lips upward, "I love it when you voice out your feelings, my love. Please don't ever hesitate in doing this again. Even curse me if I do something wrong, you have every right to do anything to me." 

Taehyung let out a joyous laugh. "I'd rather love to make you kiss me breathless than curse at you, alpha." He tip-toed to lend a peck on his alpha's lips. 

Jungkook tugged him closer and deepened the small peck into something more intense.

"Uncle!" 

Jungkook snapped his head in a specific direction where he could see a little girl running towards him, holding a bunny toy in her hands. His eyes widened upon recognizing the kid. 

"Lilly." In a second he was on his knees and Lilly came running to crash on his chest with giggles erupting from her mouth. 

"Good evening, uncle!" Lily looked up, happiness swirling in her doe eyes and there was such a wide grin adorning her face. Without him knowing, he was smiling at the little alpha. "Good evening, pup." He hugged her. 

Lilly giggled. Jungkook smiled warmly at the sounds, after Taehyung's giggles he was coming to love this little girl's giggles. But he frowned, pulling away. 

"How did you get here, pup?" 

"Oh, with TaeTae!" 

And just then, Jungkook got a whiff of jasmine and he looked ahead to see Taehyung with a basket in his hands, walking toward them, smiling beautifully. 

Jungkook was yet again awestruck. He blinked rather oh so slowly. Taehyung's beauty had enchanted him that he felt himself being possessed. Sometimes he thought about what would happen if he hadn't met this omega. Maybe live in constant guilt, anger, and the depth of the abyss.   

"She wanted to meet you, handsome alpha." 

And this nickname. It kept on reminding him that he was still the most handsome man in his omega's life. His heart fluttered, making him sigh out. 

Lilly put her hands behind her and shyly looked down, making the adults laugh at her sudden change of demeanor. "You are too cute." Jungkook ruffled her hair, messing up her perfect style.
