Jungkook left a feather kiss on his boyfriend's bread cheek. Taehyung's closed eyelids fluttered but they didn't open and a small smile tugged the corner of his lips as he snuggled onto the pillow till his cheeks squeezed and pout settled on his angelic face. Seeing such a beautiful sight Jungkook's lips broke into a fond smile, running fingers through the omega's hair. He couldn't stop himself from planting another kiss on his squishy cheek.
"My love, how can you be so beautiful," Jungkook muttered before nuzzling his nose against the omega's cheeks, his breath tickling the other so he pulled away. He smiled once again and stood up. Before leaving the room he turned off the lights.
The cool breeze welcomed him as soon as he stepped out of the house. His eyes wandered around before a deep sigh left his lips as he brought his palms up. Then brought the other one too, he looked at them for a minute as a piece of memory flashed before his eyes.
"Momma, today Miss Yang told us something adventurous and exciting." Little Jungkook's head popped from under the table, a spoon that fell a while ago in his hand as he was told to grab it out from under the table.
"What did she tell you, kookie?" His busy mother asked, her attention on the plates she was setting on the table.
Jungkook came out and beamed, "Teacher-nim told us about the first werewolf created by the moon goddess. The mystic wolf!" He grinned widely, eyes shimmering with enthusiasm.
The plate in Jiwoo's hand slipped off on the table, eyes broadened as she brought her gaze down at her grinning son.
"Miss Yang told how powerful and mysterious the mystic wolf is. She even said that nobody has ever seen him in real life, it is so bewitching. I wanna meet hi—"
Jiwoo quickly knelt on the wooden floor, hands over her son's mouth, stopping the little boy from uttering another word about that mystic wolf. Jungkook blinked at his mother who began shaking her head slowly. "There is nothing like a mystic wolf Miss Yang told you about, my son." She stated, her voice dropping an octave, dripping with a kind of voice that Jungkook never heard.
"B—" Jungkook tried but Jiwoo cupped his face gently, "It's an old fairy tale and you know Kookie, fairy tales are not true."
"Jungkook." Jiwoo sported a small smile, pushing back Jungkook's hair, her voice was back to sweet and gentle like always and that eased the little boy. "Mystic wolf is just a fairy tale, baby. Forget you've ever heard about mystic wolf because it's not true and you will never meet him."
Being only 5 years old, Jungkook believed whatever his mother told him, accepting what was true and false from his mother's perspective. He let go of the dream of meeting the mystic wolf. It was only that time and then he never heard anything about the mystic wolf again until now, from Taehyung.
He still remembered those eyes, those fear-filled eyes that his mother tried to mask. The tone she used that day was so scary yet so scared.
"Eomma……" He mumbled, slowly raising his head to the sky full of stars but the moon was nowhere to be seen tonight which was so unusual.
As he kept gazing up the wind that was flowing in the south direction began to turn to the north. Jungkook's hair blew that way and his eyebrows raised in suspicion about the sudden change in the wind. It was not gentle like before but rather harsh and fast, almost like a storm.
He looked around but nothing caught his attention.
Meanwhile many feet away from him, there stood someone, watching his buff figure from behind a tree. Honey-colored hair covering those golden eyes that were gazing at the true blood alpha sharply, cherry glossed lips pressed against each other, jaw sharp, expression stony but despite these features, there was a hint of softness in those eyes as they followed Jungkook's every movement.
