Chapter [26]

Author's pov; 

"Where is Tae?" Kim Hyun Tae asked Yoongi, eyes roaming all around the area for his omega son. The young alpha spared his father a glance and chuckled, "Went to bring someone." 

"Alone?" The head alpha snapped his head at him, fury in his eyes at the thought of his omega son going out alone at night time.

Yoongi glanced at the old man and smirked, "Don't worry, dad. He has a much stronger soldier protecting him." 

Hyun Tae frowned at that, almost displeased. 

"He is in safe hands. And I hope you didn't forget what I told you some days ago, dad." Yoongi reminded his father who in return didn't say anything but he could sense his anger, by the way, his jaw taut. 

"Maybe I should remind you, appa. To win against the rogues you need a strong rogue on your side. And that is Jeon Jungkook. The day I'll be the head alpha Selene and Solar packs gonna establish a bond." 

Yoongi fronted his father fully and folded his hands over his chest, lips curling in a victorious smirk at the troubled expression his father had because he knew that his father knew he was right. The strongest wolf ever existed in this era was one only Jeon Jungkook. 

And the number of rogues that had gathered to attack their pack was greater than the warriors they had on their side.  

"And that day is today." 

Hyun Tae glared at him, "For pack's sake I'm letting you do this." 

Yoongi let out a bitter chuckle, "For how long are we all gonna hate him? Hate a person who did everything just to save his territory from all the selfish freaks." 

"Don't forget in those freaks your uncle was one of them." Hyun Tae growled in anger. 

"And that's what I'm trying to say, dad. He was selfish and hungry for power. I know you know very well that he wouldn't even bat an eye if anything happened to one of us." 

It shut Hyun Tae down. Yoongi shook his head, "For once think as a head alpha, not as a brother whose brother died in his hands. See from Jungkook's viewpoint. What would you do if a bunch of men tried to snatch your precious pack from you, the pack you vowed to protect. I agree he has no one in his pack yet that's still a pack, a land whose alpha is only Jeon Jungkook." 

Hyun Tae clenched his fist, all the years he had been living hating that damned Jeon Jungkook for killing his elder brother but now, his own son was unfolding all the sensibility in him.   

"Is that because Tae has been seeing that beast?" 

The young alpha's eyes grew wide at what his father had just said. It meant he knew about Taehyung dating Jungkook. Then a frown settled on his face, "What made you say this?" Because as far as he knew, the couple was very subtle unless. 

"I-I…" How could Hyun say that he had set a man after Taehyung and knew everything about his whereabouts through the man but he never got a chance to enter Selene territory because of the fear of Jeon Jungkook. 

And his stutter, the hesitation in his tone had made it clear to Yoongi. "I promise you, dad, you will never regret my decision because now, I have known Jeon enough and trust me, he is nothing like the myth says."

It was a rush, the way they reached Jungkook's house was like the blinking of eyes. They didn't even know how fast they were, it was when Taehyung was pressed against the main door and Jungkook was sucking marks on his luscious skin, just below the mating spot.
