Ash threw a pokeball which released a bipedal, draconian Pokémon that was primarily dark blue in color. It had patch of red on its underbelly from the lower jaw to the middle of the abdomen, including the undersides of its arms.It also had a collar on its neck which had a mega stone in it.
IT WAS ASH'S GARCHOMP
It roared with a great intensity and saw around to see his trainer with his sinnoh rival. From what he remembered form Infernape's stories.He was a down to earth asshole who would do anything for power.
"The fuck are you doing here." Garchomp roared toward Paul.
"Hey Garchomp,calm down.He is our partner in tag team battles. I know Infernape told you some harsh stories but he had changed." Ash said while defensively standing between him and Paul.
"We will see." He exclaimed before showing a surprise expression at how his trainer could understand him. "How can you hear me Ash?" he questioned in confusion.It was the first time Ash was talking to him directly. He mostly depended upon Gardevoir to talk to his pokemon to understand their exact words.
"Oh about that,I will tell you later on." He told his dragon who nodded his head toward Ash who wanted to keep this aura thing a secret from Paul.
"What are you mumbling about?" Paul questioned the raven haired trainer.
"Nothing."Ash said.
"All right Paul I need you to choose a pokemon that can protect my Garchomp from ice and fairy type attacks. He might be strong enough to defeat my Salamence but he still needs some protection from ice and fairy types." Ash finished.
"Why are you so invested in dragon types now. You were an all round pokemon trainer but now you are focussing on only dragon types." Paul questioned while plucking out a pokeball from his belt and releasing his Aggron who was powerful both against Ice and Fairy type.
"I just want to take down the hidden champion and you need a specific type to challenge him. I think I will also catch a Haxorus while we are in Unova." Ash informed the Veilstone city trainer who nodded his head.
"Lets begin our resistance training. You release some fire type Paul." Ash said while releasing his Glaceon and saw Paul releasing his Magmotar.
"Garchomp will train against ice type attack while your Aggron against fire type."Ash said.
"I want you to cover me from ice and fairy type and I will protect you from any other type."Ash finished as his pokemon walked away to train leaving him and Paul behind.
"I haven't seen your Pikachu Ash.Where is he?" He questioned to the trainer of the said pokemon's trainer who was kicking some dirt.
"He was injured so I decided to give him a rest.I didn't wanted to hurt him even more than he was." Ash answered the question.
"I see." Paul said while observing Ash's Garchomp who looked as strong as his Salamence.
"So you found anything about the other sponsered participant." Ash questioned Paul.
"Not yet but I found that we will be battling some brat named Trip in the opening matches.His sponser wasn't too happy with his performance today. He lost his one pokemon so his chances of coming to top 20 is zero to none." he informed Ash.
