"I AM A MASTER OF MY OWN DESTINY."

Reaching this far in a tournament where trainers from all over the world participated was a feat for Ash. But fame, trophy, respect wasn't something he wanted. He wanted money. Money for Leaf's treatment and he would get it at any cost.

Now all that stood in front of him and the money was Paul, his rival and Tobias, an absolute monster who can easily destroy anyone with the legendaries on his team.

"THE SEMI FINAL BETWEEN TRAINER ASH AND TRAINER PAUL SHALL BEGIN NOW. BOTH TRAINER WILL USE THREE POKEMONS AND ONCE ALL THREE POKEMON ON EITHER SIDE ARE UNABLE TO BATTLE I SHALL DECLARE THE WINNER. BEGIN." The referee yelled as Ash and Paul threw their respective pokeball.

Ash's team was already decided. A lucario stood in front of Ash and a Ursaring in front of Paul.

"Guess luck is on my side." Ash muttered at the obvious type advantage as he raised his head to meet Paul and what greeted him was a rare sight. An indeed rare one.

Paul face showed fear. Not for himself but directed toward Ash.

"Battle be......" The referee started but was cutted off by the Ursaring rushing toward Lucario.

"What the heck... Dodge lucario." Ash ordered as Lucario jumped out of the way. His Ursaring attacked without any of Paul's command and something was visible in the pokemon's eye. It was rage. Pure rage.

"KETCHUM.... FORFEIT YOUR LUCARIO." Paul yelled from other side of the field.

"What's happening?" Ash asked as a punch hitted Lucario which threw him back.

"I don't know why but my Ursaring hates lucario. It is impossible to stop him if he goes on rampage. Lets both forfeit." Paul told Ash who looked at the Ursaring.

"If I give up here. It will be a insult to hardwork of my pokemons Paul. I can't." Ash yelled back as Lucario dodged a hyperbeam.

"Don't blame me for whatever happens next then." Paul said while narrowing his eyes.

"I won't. Close combat and bone rush." Ash ordered as the bones summoned in Lucario's hand while the jackal pokemon rushed toward the angry pokemon.

"......." Paul just stared at the battle. He expected a dragon pokemon from Ash's side but their luck was rotten. He knew it was impossible to give command to his rampaging pokemon.

The attack hitted and pushed Ursaring back but due to his large size the attack didn't had that big effect.

The Ursaring charged another hyperbeam as Lucario stood in front of him.

"Lucario dodge." Ash ordered trying to maintain his calm but Lucario seemed to have a different plan. He stood metres away from the Ursaring staring into his eyes.

If eyes are windows to ones soul, then ursaring's eyes were window to hell.

The orb of energy was relased toward lucario as Ash's eyes widened.

"Lucario DODGE." Ash yelled desperately as the attack hitted the mark and dust covered the whole stadium.

"I told ya to recall didn't I." paul regretfully muttered. The dust cloud begun to disperse and what greeted them was a scene neither Ash nor anyone on the stadium expected.

A massive wall of ice stood between Ursaring and Lucario which blocked the hyperbeam and one of Lucario's hand touching the ground.
