Hyerin wasnt angry.

Well...

She just found it absolutely ridiculous that the police couldnt and wouldnt get involved.

Yes, they lived in a rather small town and there was a shortage of officers but these are literal murders!

Her school definitely wasnt taking any precautionary measures seeing as classes were still going on as if nothing happened at all.

Hyerin brushed her hands through her hair as she placed herself on her bed after locking her door.

She was anxious.

It happened all the time. Her anxiety always kicked in at the wrong time.

Im not scared, She convinced herself, I am the one who took up the job in the first place

She closed her eyes shut as she took in deep breaths. Hyerin was never going to admit she was in the slightest bit scared. She never did.

But what if the killer strikes again?

Ugh! She ruffled hair as she breathed out heavily, falling back first on her soft bed.

No matter how bad a person might be, Hyerin didnt want them to die, at least not in that way.

She didnt want anyone else to die. Most importantly, she wanted the killer to come clean or at least just stop.

Whatever grudge they might hold is definitely not worth someones life.

After some time, the girl had unknowingly dozed off, whether from stress or from tiredness.

Like that, another weekend passed in a snap.

Along came a new week and Hyerin found herself standing before the gates of her university, ready to proceed inside.

On walking on the campus grounds, everywhere felt gloomy.

Not in the sad type of gloomy, but more of a graveyard or haunted house gloomy.

As fall slowly approached, the bright and shiny sun hid away more, giving the whole town a cooler atmosphere.

Not that it mattered, the students were too scared to even enjoy it.

No matter what it took, Hyerin had to find out who that good-for-nothing scumbag was.

Some students had to take it in their own accounts and just not come to school but it would definitely affect their record.

The school didnt even look like it would temporarily close at all!

Hyerin sighed as she walked into her class, still pondering the schools weirdness.

The class started in no time, even the teachers looked frightened.

Every minute of class was agonizing for Hyerin. She undoubtedly did not take joy in class anymore, at least, not like she used too.

The thoughts of that boy rushing into class or hearing the sound of those sirens haunted her brain.

Unlike other students, as Hyerins classmates were almost in the final levels of college, they could not afford leaving and bunking class like some other students.

Everyone, apart from the departed, was very much present.

Come to think about it, the only victims of the killers wrath were in their class.

Her partner had mentioned it before, she recalled, but she didnt look too much into it at the time.

Huh She sighed and at that moment the bell rang.

Instead of leaving with the others, she decided to stay seated and just rest. She didnt really feel like moving.

The girl stretched her neck, closing her eyes shortly after and taking calm, deep breaths.

Unbeknownst to her, there was a little rascal seeking out revenge on his partner and he saw that opportunity and took it.

Her eyes still relatively closed, he snuck up to her seat, careful not to alert her as the room was very quiet.

Boo Riki stifled into her ear, causing her eyes to immediately widen with a loud shriek escaping her lungs.

Still not knowing who it was, she used her elbow to jab him right in the stomach.

She turned around to give him another blow until she stopped, lowering her hand back down after realizing his identity.

The poor boy clutched on to his hurt stomach, when he saw her raise her hand.

Relax! He shrilled, Its just me

He sat down on a seat, his abdomen still hurting from the unexpected hit. She sat down as well; a guilty expression stretched on her face.

Why would you scare me like that?! She started.

As payback, Riki responded, his hand finally leaving his stomach as the pain subdued, Why would you use your pointy elbow to jab me, Madam Karate kid?!

It was a reflex! Hyerin flung back, maybe

Hey! He yelped.

Im joking, Im joking, She chuckled.

Anyways Hyerin continued, Why are you here? Arent we going to meet at the library later?

Yeah, well, no, He explained, making her give him a confused look in exchange, I thought of a brilliant idea

Hyerin sighed. Oh no

What? Its a good idea, dont worry, Riki sounded, I always have good ideas

Cut to the chase, Nishimura Hyerin crossed her arms, leaning back in her seat and allowing him to speak up.

So, He finally began, You know there was always someone who found the deceased bodies, right?

She nodded. Mhm?

What if it was the same person? Wouldnt that be a lead somehow? The boy beamed.

Mm, Yeah I guess youre right, Hyerin agreed, But what exactly are you implying?

How about we go meet whoever found the bodies and interrogate them, if there are any clues or anything Riki suggested.

Not bad She intoned, the bell ringing immediately after she finished.

Meet me outside when its the lunch break and we can go find out He got up from the seat, leaving her to nod in response as the next class began.

Classes were still very long and boring. The girl tried her very best to pay attention but she couldnt help but let her mind wander off most of the time.

It was finally the lunch break after two more of her unamusing lessons and she made her way outside the school building.

Looking around for not more than thirty seconds of being outside, she spotted the tall boy.

Gosh, he really stood out from the crowd.

Wearing a white hoodie under a grey-ish puffer jacket with black sweatpants, he had his arms crossed as he observed all the people that walked by him.

Some people noticed his hawk-like stares and whispered to their friends beside them, of course the boy didn't faze at all.

Seeing that, Hyerin shook her head and went up to him.

She tapped his shoulder to alert him of her presence. So, whats the plan?
