Jennifer sat up and rubbed her eyes then groaned. The clock said it was five in the morning. She had a bad headache. She headed to the bathroom and grabbed the headache medicine before heading down to the kitchen to get a cup of water. She took the medicine and put the cup in the sink. She stretched and decided to sit on the front porch and watch the sun rise. She went back to her room and grabbed her art supplies so she could draw the colors as the sun rose.
She sat on the swing with her supplies and started sketching the landscape and outline a few stars that she wanted to leave in the sky. She was enjoying the peaceful silence of the dawn and listening to the birds start to wake and sing their songs. That was one thing she was ever so glad about moving out of the city, she could now enjoy the country serenity. She never really realized how much she missed it until she was forced to move in with the Blackbourne Toma team and now she never wanted to leave. The country peacefulness soothed her soul and brought a calm to her she thrived for now. Her creativity was blossoming so much since she moved in with them and now she didn't want to think of life without them. She was starting to worry that she could possibly fall for them more than friends and that really scared her. She couldn't think about that now, she had a sunrise to breathe life into on her sketchpad. As she was drawing she heard a soft sound. Almost like a puppy whining. She sat her stuff down and started looking around. She wrapped Silas' hoodie around her and kept looking and listening for where it was coming from.
Right as she reached the gate a little rottweiler puppy stuck its head out from the ditch across the road. "Oh you little thing, are you hurt?" She asked as she opened the gate. The puppy started limping toward her and she met it halfway in the road.
She picked it up and then all of a sudden there was a sharp pain in her neck and everything went black.
(back at the mansion about seven am)
Marc comes down to the kitchen and instantly freezes seeing the medicine on the counter and cup in the sink. "Beautiful?" he calls out as he searches the living room. He races up to her room and finds it empty. He gets a dreadful feeling in his stomach as he pounds on everyone's room. "Is Jennifer with you?" he called out as everyone came out of their rooms and he started searching the studies.
"What are you talking about?" Axel asked following him.
"There's medicine on the kitchen counter and a cup in the sink and she isn't in her room," he explained as he headed to another room.
"I got the cams," Victor and Corey said in unison racing to their laptops. The rest of the team go and search the entire house top to bottom looking and calling out for her and were only met with silence. It was very unnerving how quiet the house was. Even Max was searching for her and whining.
"Here!" Corey shouted, "She went to the kitchen at five and took some medicine then went to the front yard with her art supplies." They surrounded Corey and Victor and watched as she started drawing then looking around for something.
"What is she doing?" Brandon asked as they watched her search the yard for something.
They then watch her open the gate and walk into the road.
"A fucking puppy?" Gabe asks as a puppy then limps into the road to her.
They all yell as a man suddenly jumps out of a parked car a few yards ahead of her, comes up behind her while she is unaware and sticks her in the neck with something making her instantly go limp. He picks her and the puppy up, toss them in the trunk, then go up to their front porch. He writes something down then darts back to the car and drives off.
They rush out to the yard and Victor grabs the sketch pad then lets out a string of curse words that would normally make Gabriel proud on any other day. Owen takes the pad from him and look down: I told her it would just be a matter of time before she was mine again. You lose.
