Jennifer leaned against the door and slid to the floor. She clutched her knees and tried to control her breathing. Her heart was racing, she didn't know what to do. She was so confused and scared. She knew the guys wanted a relationship with her, but it scared her so much. After everything she had been through, she didn't think she was capable of giving them what they wanted. She feared they would want more than what she could give them and ultimately it would cause a rift between them. She couldn't lose her best friends, she wouldn't know how to live without them. Why couldn't things have just stayed the way they were? Why did they have to push for more? She couldn't do this, it was better to just leave now before the hurt of not being enough became too much.
She got up and grabbed a bag from the closet. She shoved some clothes in it and her wallet. She grabbed her things out of her bathroom and tossed them into her bag also. She picked up her phone then sat it back down. They would be able to track her from that. She sat it back inside the nightstand and closed the drawer.
Hearing some whining she turned to see Jack sitting by the bed whining."Oh Jack," She sighed and dropped the bag. "What am I going to do Jack?" She asked hugging the Rottweiler.
"Darling will you open the door please?" Owen asked knocking on the door.
"Please just leave me alone," She called out hugging Jack.
"Okay," Owen said. "If you want to talk we are here."
"I...I....I just need some time to think right now," She called out.
"Okay Darling," Owen said softly. "We will be downstairs if you need us."
She heard them walk away and sighed. She hugged Jack and whispered, "After they are all asleep we will leave, just you and me, okay?" He huffed and she wiped away a tear. This was going to break her heart, but she felt it was better to do it now before they wanted more than what she could give them. "Tonight we will leave and start a whole new life for us."
She burst into sobs thinking about leaving her best friends behind. She held onto him and just let all the pain out. She ended up crying herself to sleep.
(Downstairs)
"Calm down Brother," Corey said as he watched Brandon pace back and forth.
"I'm sorry, I just couldn't help it," Brandon sighed as he tried to calm down his panicking. "She was just so damn beautiful.""Calm down," Axel sighed, "Trust me we understand but we need to slow it down. She is suppose to set the pace for us. I can guarantee that right now she is upstairs freaking out more than you."
"She's scared we will want too much from her," Silas said from the wall where he was leaning against. "Remember she was raised to not believe in love and then with everything she has gone through with her ex, she is going to terrified of any kind of affection that leads to love."
"We've got to make sure she completely understands that we aren't going to push her," Owen said. "We all have to really restrain ourselves for now."
"We are willing and will obey," they said in unison.
"Alright, fucking tell us," Gabe smirked, "How was it?"
"Fucking perfect," Brandon sighed.
"Lucky bastard," Gabriel smirked.
Max sat up and tilted his head. Everyone stopped talking and watched him. He got up and raced up the stairs. The guys followed to see what was going on. Max stopped in front of Jennifer's door. He started scratching at the door and they heard whining on the other side.
Kota tried turning the door but found it was lock. "Luke," he said and within seconds Luke had it unlocked. Luke opened the door and Jack came racing out the door. They walked in and found her asleep on the floor. "She's been crying," Luke whispered as he gently picked her up and put her on the bed. His foot hit something and he looked down. "What is that?"
North walked over and grabbed it. He realized it was a bag, he opened it and growled, "She was going to run," he said as he showed everyone what was in the bag.
"Nyet," Raven growled as he took the bag and dumped everything on the closet floor. "Nyet bags Gabe."
"Got it big man," Gabe said as he grabbed all her storage and took them out of her room.
"We're all staying but taking shifts in sleep so she can't try to run out of fear," Owen said as he sat down at her vanity. Everyone else found somewhere to sleep while Max and Jack jumped up on her bed and sandwiched her in between them.
