Hermione arrived in the den of Malfoy Manor. "Draco!" She exclaimed running up to hug the blonde.

"I thought you could use some company than to be alone." Draco offered.

"Thanks that was very sweet of you." Hermione smiled. "Minerva sent me off so I wouldn't put any of my students in danger."

"That is wise, despite it being annoying to you. The last place the Weasel will ever look is here." Draco smirked. "Now, lets make you look different."

"Ooh I always wanted to be a blonde!" Hermione exclaimed.

"Then you shall be." Draco smiled. "We will also rename you. Then you can return to Hogwarts under that alias."

"Yes!" Hermione exclaimed.

Draco waved his wand as Hermiones hair changed from bushy brown to straight long blonde. He also changed the witches face to look similar to his. "Now, pick your name."

"Alice....Malfoy, your new wife. I'll be different than Hermione, I'm going fir the potions spot. I won't be like Snape, but I'll be hard to please." Hermione smirked.

"Do you want to return to Minervas office?"

"Not yet. Hermiones been offered an indefinite leave from work. Let's take advantage of one day. Shall we?" Hermione winked.

"Oh yeah!" Draco lead Hermione up to the master bedroom and the day dissolved into a day of passion.

The next morning, Hermione woke up and smiled seeing Draco next to her. "Im going to Minervas now, I'll send you a message."

"I know she'll hire you again. Tell her who you truely are." Draco offered.

"Only Minerva and Emma shall know Alice's real identity." Hermione replied before stepping into the floo.

"Hello Miss...."

"Professor McGonagall, its me, Hermione." The witch said quickly.

Minerva looked confused. "Prove it, your patronus please?"

Hermione brought out her wand and out came a silver otter.

"What did Hermione say in her third year when I gave her the Time Turner?" Minerva demanded.

"I promise, no one will know. The last thing I need is the ginger menace being more jealous of me." Hermione winked.

Minerva grinned, "well, it is you. I assume you'll go by Professor Malfoy now?"

The blonde nodded. "My first name is Alice. Only Emma Jones will know who I am."

"Fine with me. Amelia has been keeping me posted of the Gingers moves."

"You know I will protect the students, no matter what." Hermione replied.

"I do know. Now, what position would you like?"

"Potions teacher. Sorry Minerva, I have to have a different position." Hermione blushed. "Its to keep my new identity safe."

"I understand, I think Professor Chang can return."

"Cho Chang?! She's a teacher?!" Hermione asked

"Tutors in Transfiguration. I bet she'd like to return. Now, will your current quarters be satisfactory?" Minerva asked.

"Yes they will. Thank you, Minerva. If Weasel shows up, you know I will do anything to spare the students... even if it means leaving with him." Hermione replied determinedly.

"Lets hope it doesn't come to that. Go tell Horace you will be taking over for him and that I've vetted you." Minerva stated.

"Yes Professor."

*

"Horace Slughorn?" Hermione peeked her head in.

"Who's there?" A voice asked.

"My name is Alice, Minerva has hired me as Potions professor." Hermione smiled.

"Well this is my lucky day! Back to retirement I go! Bless Minerva." Horace waved his wand as all his belongings began to pack themselves up. "I better go say goodbye to her. Have fun teaching dear Alice."

"That was easier than I thought." Hermione mumbled to herself. "He must have really wanted to leave."

Hermione prepared her classroom and was surprised to hear someone come in. Hermione turned and in came Emma. "Hello Emma."

"How do you know my name? My brother Dr. Swann told me to come see you." Emmas eyes narrowed in suspicision.

"Emma, it's Hermione! I'm here in disguise since the Weasel menace is out for me."

"Can you prove you are Hermione, please?"

"Your brothers name Dr. Swann is a cover, he's really Draco Malfoy." Hermione whispered.

"Ok, now Im convinced. I bet you want me to keep you a secret?" Emma asked

"You would be correct in that assumption." Hermione replied.

Suddenly a silver cat appeared in the room. "Prepare defenses for an intruder." Minerva announced.

"Stay here, Emma."

"Weasel is here?!" Emmas face turned pale

"Im afraid so. Just stay here." Hermione left the room and warded her classroom as powerfully as she could.

She sped off towards the entrance where she saw a skinny and disheveled red haired figure.  Hermione aimed her wand at the figure and prepared to strike him down.

"Hermione, dont!" Minerva warned from behind.

"Why not?"

"Ron has been sentanced to the kiss. They're coming for him now. You know dementors, they won't stop till they get their victim." Minerva answered.

"Fine, but I need to drive him away."

"No. Leave that to me." Minerva put a hand on the witches shoulder.

Hermione watched worriedly as Minerva stepped forward and made an announcement. "Ronald Weasley, please stop! The dementors have been ordered to kiss you. Surrender now, and it will be painless. Resist and the consequences will be severe."

"Never! I want my Hermione back!" Weasel snarled.

"You were warned." Minerva replied grimly aiming a stunning spell which he dodged. He took off running towards the Forbidden Forest.
