"I gotta owl the department of...Hermione! This is a surprise!" Amelia exclaimed upon seeing her stepdaughter.

"Hi Mia, how are you?" Hermione asked hugging the older woman.

"Im doing good, Susan and Neville are coming by for dinner. Why dont you stay? Sirius would love it." Amelia suggested.

"Umm..ok with me. When is Dad supposed to be home?" Hermione asked.

"Hmm.. Id say in about 30 minutes. Did you want to ask him something?" Amelias eyes narrowed.

"Yes I did, but maybe you know. My house elf Angie gave me this letter from Draco Malfoy. Do you know where he is?" Hermione pulled it out to show the Minister.

Amelia looked over the letter with a raised eyebrow. "I heard Draco moved to France after Astotia and Narcissa died. But other rumors say he relocated to the States. Im sorry, I dont know where he went."

"Thats ok Mia. I think Dad might know the answer." Hermione smiled.

"Why would Sirius know that?" Amelia frowned.

"Angie told me Sirius gave her the letter to give to me." Hermione answered.

"Hmm...I agree with you Hermione. All clues point to Sirius. While you wait, surely you can amuse yourself in the library?" Amelia smiled slightly.

"You know me too well!" Hermione shot her a smile then left the room.

Amelia laughed,"shes so easy to please."

Draco was wringing his hands. He hoped Sirius would hand Hermione his letter of apology. He was in his home office while Elsa tended to Scorpius. Draco wanted to reveal himself, but knew he wouldnt be given a positive reaction.

"Must you sneak up on me?!" Amelia screeched when two arms hugged her from behind.

Sirius chuckled, "Ah Lia, you know you could never stay mad at me." Sirius spun her to face him.

Amelia revealed a tight smile. "We shall see about that."

Sirius cocked his head like a dog. Amelia wanted to laugh, but she needed an honest answer. "What did I do to upset you?"

Amelia smiled, she loved when during tense times, Sirius could push aside his playful manner and be well..serious. "Straight to the point, I like that. Tell me, what do you know of Draco Malfoy?"

This caused Sirius to freeze. Yes, earlier that day Draco, as Dr. Swann had given Sirius a letter in the courtrooms to hand off to his daughter. "Not much, the gossip chain says hes in the States. Why do you ask? As soon as he was cleared of Death Eater activity, he told the press he was leaving."

Amelia narrowed her eyes.

"What?"

"Hermiones in our library. Probably drowning in our extensive book collection. If you try and lie to her like you did to me right now, trust me, you'll have two angry witches to face." Amelia answered shooting her husband a glare.

Sirius gulped. He knew his daughter had a nasty temper, he only hoped he could keep Dracos alter ego a secret.
