"Hermione, I want to apologize." Draco said when Sirius had left the room.

"Go on."

"Ive always liked you, ever since you punched me at 13. After the war though, I felt like the bad boy ex-Death Eater didnt deserve you after the master stragegizer Weasel put a ring on your finger. I should have told you who I was on that coffee date, and Im sorry. I wanted to start new." Draco continued

"That I can understand, Im not as mad as before. How did you build your hospital?" Hermione asked

"It was after Mother fell sick. I was desperate and the Healers at St. Mungos were no help. I invented this device that hooks up to the patients head, and shows people what the person is seeing in their mind." Draco waved his wand and a visual appeared.

"I heard about that. So you were the inventor?!" Hermione gasped

"Yes, if you ever saw my OWL results, I scored very well in Transfiguration, Potions and Charms."

"All the subjects needed to be an inventor." Hermione mused

"Yes, I left England for the States where I learned how to become a mental doctor under the infamous Queenie Goldstein. She made an intense doctor program in Paris after marrying Jacob Kowalski." Draco explained.

"You got to meet the most famous Ligillimens?!" Hermione squealed

"Yes. But let me tell you it was hard work. Miss Goldstein, or Mrs. Kowalski had me drink this potion that shut out all of my emotions for 5 hours. Until I could learn to do it on my own. It was bloody painful." Draco winced

"Seems like that." Hermione replied looking sympathetic.

"Only way I got through it was thinking of you. Your smile and how I wished you would sometime smile at me." Draco blushed

"You are so much more than the Ex-Death Eater you used to be." Hermione replied as she began to eat.

"Im beginning to see that." Draco smiled.

*

"Well? How'd it go?" Harry asked when the brunette stepped out of the fireplace.

"It was...spectacular." Hermione beamed.

"Im happy for you." Harry looked confused

"Thanks good night Harry." Hermione smiled.

"See you tomorrow Hermione."

Hermione went to her desk and began grading.

*

"Ok, why are you so happy?" Blaise asked coming into the room.

"What are you doing here?" Draco looked up from feeding his son.

"Elsa allowed me in. So why are you in a good mood?" Blaise asked.

"I was on a date." Draco answered.

"With Granger? MeOw!" Blaise smirked

Draco rolled his eyes. "It was only a dinner."

"I bet you two ended up smashing lips eh?" Blaise snickered.

"A true gentleman does not kiss and tell." Draco answered.

"You are no gentleman Draco. Come on, did Granger forgive you or not?!" Blaise demanded

"She did. But thats besides the point. She doesnt want to date me after her disasterous marriage." Draco sighed.

"Did you ever ask her?" Blaise raised an eyebrow.

"No, but come on, that Weseal monster did more than abuse her, he effectively silenced her! Most women need time to find themselves before seeking out a new relationship." Draco explained before vanishing the food.

"I see. Its very Slytherin of you."

"What is?" Draco narrowed his eyes.

"Pretending to be symapathetic to Grangers situation and then scoop her up and tie her to you." Blaise shrugged.

"That was the teenage me. Im hurt that you think I didnt grow up at all. Ill have you know, my charm alone is what got me Astoria and him." Draco nodded to Scorpius in his high chair.

"Ok believe what you want. I gotta go, or Luna wont be happy." Blaise turned quickly.

"Afraid of the quiet Ravenclaw?" Draco mocked

"Shut it. You've never been on the recieving end of her hexes." Blaise replied before twisting away.

*

"Im coming!" Hermione grumbled getting out of bed. She was more than ready to snap, Saturdays are the days she loves to sleep in.

She opened her office door to find Neville there. "Whats up?"

"Would you like to go for a walk?" Neville asked.

"At 7 am on a Saturday?" Hermione raised an eyebrow.

"Ummm..."

"Im kidding, hold on." Hermione chuckled.

Ten minutes later, Hermione was dressed in a skirt and loose t-shirt.

"Ready?"

"Yes."

"Hows teaching Transfiguration?" Neville asked.

"Very interesting. I find it a lot better than being a cooped up house wife." Hermione answered

"What about a Healer?"

"As much as I loved it, it got tiring seeing people with all their aliments. Besides Minerva has been good to me." Hermione answered.

"Thats great to hear. So, whats going on with you and Dr. Swann?" Neville grinned shyly.

"Nothing is going on Neville." Hermione huffed.

"Hmm, I heard he saved your life a while ago." Neville stated when they approched the Quidditch field.

Hermione rolled her eyes, "I didnt ask him to. Believe me. Apparently I ate some sweets that were spiked with a potion only the doctor knew how to cure."

"So theres nothing?..." Neville pressed

Hermione shook her head. "No. Besides, I need time to heal from the Weasley fiasco."

"Of course. Come on, breakfast is starting." Neville and Hermione turned towards the castle.

Hermiones eyebrow went up when a lone owl flew into the Great Hall straight to her. "Oh no."

She caught the package and quickly left the hall. She knew it had to be from Draco. Once alone, she opened the package to reveal a pink ball gown

Hermione picked up the letter;

Dear Granger,
I saw this dress and it reminded me of you. And no, im not buying your affection.

DM. (Dr. Swann)

Hermione beamed at the dress, and quickly cut it to a more appropriate length.

Ahe grabbed a quill and began her reply. This will be a good day.
