The war has gone on day after day, and every household with a male has had to turn themselves in as soldiers to assist their nation in fighting the conflict. There was no clear consensus yet on who was deserving of the Super-soldier serum.
Howard Stark, the flirtiest guy Dalia had ever known, hosted one of his huge exhibitions only a few days ago, and she didn't go since she was too preoccupied with her work and places with a lot of people weren't really her thing. She had heard that Doctor Erskine was also in the area, looking for a guy to train as a super-soldier. She wished him luck in his endeavors.
Dalia was still working at Camp Leigh, while Agent Carter was in charge of the entire division. She was a military trainer, and one of the things that irritated her the most was that some of the troops didn't understand what the term "respect to women" meant. Peggy needed to make sure Dalia wasn't dealing with this on her alone since she knew Dalia could break their neck in an instant if she was upset, and Peggy didn't want that to happen.
''I dont want to kick their ass.'' Dalia mumbled as she took a small sip of her coffee and cringed at the taste of the bitter coffee.
''You can't just kick them for fun.'' Peggy shook her head and grabbed the cup of her coffee, walked to beside Dalia. ''You trained to be an assassin but they are train to be soldier.''
Dalia huffed and grinned before reaching for the spoon and sprinkling sugar into her coffee cup. Her lips had not yet been coated with the red lipstick, leaving her face pallid after she had bleached her hair blonde. Peggy glanced up at Dalia since she was taller than her, but she was dressed in trousers and boots today. ''Why is this still bitter?''
''In the name of Christ, you want to pour all of the sugar into that little coffee cup of yours?'' Peggy slapped Dalia's shoulder lightly.
''I don't like bitter.'' She told her friend with a wink before she walked over to her table grabbed lipstick and walked over to the window where she could see her reflection of herself. All Dalia could see was the end of her short blonde hair, which she had pulled over like a boom shell. When she was in the Red Room, her nails would be strained from the blood, and her ankles, wrists, and body would be covered with bruises and scars. It didn't heal until she received the serum, and everything she had before vanished away. Maybe having the serum provided her such an edge that she wouldn't get sick and could recover quicker than she could before, or she'd never have broken bones from fighting again. She turned back to face Peggy once more before grabbing her sunglasses and putting it on. ''I'll wait for you outside.''
She marched in her boots with her gaze straight ahead of her and no emotion on her face as the troops lined up. In any case, they were standing perfectly, arms at their sides and faces stoned. Peggy following Dalia, who motioned for her to take the lead with a nod.
