Hey y'all! How are you doing?

If you are as unlucky as I am and your new school year just started again, I hope this little chapter will make your day a bit better!

As always, pleas tell me if you find any mistakes, so that I can correct them!

Enjoy!

„Everyone come over here please!" Peter sighted. He hated gym class. Not because it was too difficult, quite the opposite actually. He was Spiderman, he would be able to do everything they did in class without a problem.

If he wanted to, he could probably break all kinds of world records, but unfortunately, no one could know that he spent his free time swinging around the streets of New York and fighting crime.

Before he had gotten bit by the spider, he had been horrible at any kind of sport, so he had to continue to fail every single exercise, even though it was pretty frustrating to always have to hold back.

They had spent the last five minutes running laps in the gym, and he has had to force himself to fake being out of breath and gasping for air the whole time. These few laps were a joke compared to the daily morning runs he went on with Steve, and even those were pretty easy for him.

It was completely useless, but the pretense was necessary. Together with the rest of his class he walked towards Mr Priston, their gym teacher, and tried to seem just as exhausted as Ned. They gathered around their teacher.

"Ok, you should be warmed up by now. Let's get to today's topic: you will be graded on rope climbing. We already talked about the technique last week, so we will just start right away. When I call your name, come to the front and climb the rope as fast as you can.

But even though you will be graded on how fast you can get to the top, safety should be your first priority. Don't climb faster than you can control, especially on your way down. I don't want any injuries today. Understood?"

They all nodded reluctantly, really not wanting to do this. No one liked rope climbing. It was exhausting, hurt the hands and even if their teacher thought it was about speed, it was more about how far you got, since almost no one in their class was strong enough to even get to the top.

Just great. During climbing it was always the hardest to pretend to be weak. This was his thing! Hanging from ropes, swinging through the air, preferably in big heights. He thought about how high he would be able to climb without raising suspicion.

He couldn't let go too early or too late that would be suspicious. In the end he decided to climb about two thirds of the way, that was about as far as most of his classmates would get.

It would be absolutely no fun to let himself hang from the rope as if he were a bag of potatoes. Sometimes he wished he could just be Spiderman all the time, just because it was less exhausting than always having to pretend to be a normal teenager.

For a while he just watched his classmates struggle up the rope. It was really boring. After a while, Mr Priston called Ned to the front. He gave Peter one last desperate glance, before he stepped up to the rope, grabbing it and starting to pull himself up, his face red from exhaustion.

He had to give up after about a third of the rope and just let himself drop to the mat, since he wasn't that high anyways. He sighted as he came back to sit down next to Peter again. "I hate gym class" "Yeah, same"

"you are lucky though! You just pretend to be unathletic, I actually am!" Peter knew that that was only his frustration talking, and that he was not really upset, so he replied: "It is just incredibly hard to always be the last to be selected for a team or to be laughed at by Flash even though you could defeat him without any difficulty! You know how it is..."
