Wow, would you look at that! Another part, and it hasn't even been a month yet! Whoop whoop!

This one shot was written before no way home, so all the stuff after that never happened. I also changed a few things about no way home, but you'll figure that out!

So, without further a do, here we go!

"Can someone tell me, how to solve this equation for the letter x?" Peter yawned. Why did class have to be so boring? He considered answering the question, the task wasn't too hard after all, but the effort of raising his hand seemed way too big. Someone else could answer that for once.

The teacher waited a few seconds, until he sighted. "Peter? Could you please come to the front and solve the equation on the bord?" Great. Just great. It was always the same. Every time no one offered to answer, the teachers called on Peter because with him, the they could be sure, that he would know the correct answer.

He reluctantly stood up, took the white board pen from the teacher's hand and started solving the equation. Completely unnecessary, if you asked him. None of his classmates were actually listening, and even if they were, no one would be able to read the mess he was producing on the board. Why was it impossible to write on whiteboards without it ending in a mess of a handwriting anyways? It had to be some kind of curse.

He scribbled the answer on the board as fast as possible, so he would be able to sit back down and continue drifting off into his thoughts.

He had a lot to think about, after all. With all the things that had happened on their class trip, which had mostly been his fault, he wasn't sure if he still equipped to deal with everything that was put upon his shoulders. How should he be able to fight the evil in the world, if he wasn't even able to see it, when it was right in front of him?

Against his will, his thoughts drifted back to Mysterio. Mysterio, whom he had trusted. Mysterio, whom he had given the most valuable thing he possessed. Mysterio, who had betrayed him. And it hurt. It hurt to keep being reminded, that he was alone after all. As soon as he trusted a person, they were taken from him. His parents, Ben, Mr Stark, Mysterio.

The thought of Mr Stark still hurt so much. Peter missed him. He had been his mentor, his big role model. Maybe even a bit more than that, because if Peter was being honest, he had started seeing the Billionaire as something like a father. But he was gone, and Peter was alone once again.

Sure, he still had May, and he loved his aunt with his whole heart. She was awesome and always made sure he was well cared for. But she would never truly understand him. It had been a big relief to have someone he could talk to about the problems that come with being a hero, someone who could understand him.

He let himself pop back down on his chair. As his teacher started talking once again, Peter's thoughts drifted off again. He just wanted to go home and fall into his bed. Just not doing anything, for once, not having to think. But unfortunately, he couldn't just switch off his head. Well, unless he got hit on the head hard enough to make him unconscious, but that wasn't the answer either. The only thing he would gain from that was a massive headache.

His eyes were fixed on the whiteboard, of which their teacher was currently swiping the equation he had solved, without really seeing it. He was apparently trying to connect his computer to the whiteboard, and failed to do so, as he always did. Honestly, after so many years of class in the same room with the same equipment, shouldn't he be able to do that by now? But apparently, he just wasn't capable of learning to do so.

After what felt like an eternity, he had finally made it and opened the internet browser. He probably wanted to show them one of those incredibly funny educational videos once again. Unfortunately though, no one except for him actually thought they were funny. It just created a lot of second hand embarrassment for everyone else.
