In the morning, Prince got me breakfast and were off to do the paternity test together. Thankfully he lended me some clothes to wear. I was sitting next to him in his car being blasted by cold air because the air was on full blast. "Prince, it's freezing in here." "Sorry." He turned the AC towards him. "Are you hot?" I asked him. He smirked and I rolled my eyes with a giggle. "Don't answer that. But no, are you sweating?" "It's a little hot in Miami." He said pulling at his collar. I looked at how he was dressed. "Prince, you're wearing a turtle neck and pants. Of course you're hot. You need to wear shorts." "I look bad in shorts." He said. I sighed. "Take a right, silly. That's where the clinic is." We pulled into the clinic to see we were the first ones there which was shocking for such a big city. We walked in and they took me in first for blood work which made Prince a little nervous to be separated from me. His test was easier because they just had to swab his cheek, and I think he felt bad about it, too.

When we finished with our tests, we went to counseling together and Catherine could finally meet Prince, the boyfriend I had been talking about to her for months. "Oh! You...You never told me it was...Prince." Prince grew shy. "Yeah. He flew in." She smiled and sat down in front of us. "You seem happy today, Roze. Is there anything you want to talk about?" Prince was leaned back in his seat and I was half leaning on him. "Well, Prince is here now. I feel better and relieved. We took a paternity test today." "Oh? There's confusion on who the father is. I see. That's good that you two took the test. Prince, how are you doing?" Catherine asked him. Prince laughed a little. "Honestly, not sure how you deal with this heat down here." Catherine laughed. "We deal the best we can. So, last week we talked about how you were nervous to tell Prince you were pregnant." I nodded.

"Do you feel better now that he knows?" I nodded. "I sleep better. But, there's still things in the future we need to worry about. We get the results in at least a week and...we already have a plan if..." I glanced at Prince and he slipped his arm around my shoulders. "Ah, I see. Time will tell." Catherine said. I held onto his arm. "I just...I can't continue knowing this...if this baby is...G's..." I started to tear up. Prince held onto my hand. "If the baby isn't mine we already have a game plan. We had a talk about it and I fully support anything she wants to do. It's her body, and I don't want to tell her what she should do. She's her own self." I smiled leaning my cheek into his shoulder letting the tears fall onto his sweater.

Counseling was emotionally draining, but relieving at the same time. That's how it always was which was how I always felt. While Prince was filling up at a gas station not far from the hotel, I decided to call Terra to see how everything was going. "How's Papi? Is he doing okay?" I asked her. "He's doing fine, but he won't stop feeding me. He thinks I'm too skinny." I smiled. "That's Papi." She got quiet. "Are you and Prince going to get back together?" I chewed the corner of my lip. "We never broke up. We just sort of had a long distance relationship for awhile. He wants me to quit the diner." "Do it!" She was banging on something between her words.

Prince got in the car. "Okay, I gotta go. You sure you don't mind staying with Papi for one more night?" "No! Go! Please spend time with Prince. Maybe he can be my stepdad, brother in law, whatever. Okay, I often forget you're my mom now." I smiled. "Okay, well I'll definitely do it. Bye." We hung up and Prince gave me a kiss on the cheek. I turned my head and gently held his cheek to kiss him. I slid my hand to the side of his neck feeling his pulse beating so fast from the kiss. He loved me. He still loved me.

I pulled away wiping some lip gloss from his lip and he laughed a little. "Let's get out of here." As we were driving to his hotel room, I was thinking. "I just realized we didn't spend our first Thanksgiving and Christmas together..." I said to him. He laughed a little. "I didn't really do much anyways. I was finishing up my album at the time and was probably starting a new one Christmas Day." I looked out of the window. "Did any family come by?" He didn't respond and I turned to see him shaking his head. "No. No one came by. It was just me at Paisley and Claude was with his family."
