A few days had passed and Prince and I were in my apartment. I was nervous because I wasn't working now, but Prince was here to take care of me, according to him. Terra was over the moon excited to see him and he was teaching her guitar for a couple of hours before her bedtime. I was realizing that by now I was almost completely healed from my trauma although I knew I would never actually be completely healed. Even when years have passed, I know I'll still be nervous to be in a room with an unfamiliar man, but I knew Prince wouldn't allow that to happen.

I was just beginning to start breakfast when Prince hugged me from behind. "Good morning." He kissed under my ear. "Hmm, good morning. Is Terra awake for school?" I asked him. He was wearing a cut off t shirt that he usually worked out in and some sweat pants. "I'll go check." He was walking down the hall to her makeshift bedroom which was formerly an office. "Terra? Are you awake?" He asked through her door. "Yes! I'll be out in a minute!" He laughed. "Yeah she's awake." He sat at the dinner table which I hated because I missed my old island bar, but this would work.

"I'm gonna take her to school today." He told me as he picked up the newspaper. "I can do it." "No. You're going to stay here and rest today. Claude is coming by with some of my stuff." I giggled serving him his breakfast. "You're moving in?" He smirked. "You could say that." The look he gave me was the reason I fell in love with him in the first place. Terra ran down the hall with her backpack. "Eww, sausage again?" Terra sat next to Prince. "Hey, Roze worked hard on that breakfast that she didn't have to make for you, Terra. You say thank you." Terra sighed. "Thanks. Even though we've had sausage and eggs for breakfast for the last week." I frowned and Prince glanced at me.

"Terra...don't be rude. Be nice. You be thankful for every meal that you get especially if your mother made it." I smiled a little. "Remember she woke up early enough to make sure you were awake and to make you breakfast. So I'd be thankful for that. My older brothers ate most of the food I was given." I kissed his forehead. "Now apologize to Rozie." He said sternly. "I'm sorry. Thank you for the breakfast." I smiled. "You're welcome. I forgive you." I told her. Prince was reading the paper and occasionally eating the eggs on his plate. That's when I realized that we got the mail today. "Where is today's mail?" I asked him. Prince turned the page in his newspaper. "On the coffee table." I walked over to the coffee table to sift through the envelopes and saw THE envelope. The paternity results.

"Ready to go? You're gonna be late." He told Terra. "I'm ready!" Terra said excited. I was just about to open the envelope when I felt a kiss on my lips. "I love you. I'll be back in a little bit, okay?" I smiled. "Perfect. I love you, too." I said to him. They left and I sat down to open the envelope and pull the paper out. I was nervous as I looked at the tri-folded paper and bit my lip feeling my leg bounce. This information would destroy me or make me happy. I took a deep breath and opened the paper.

"Okay, so I don't understand why Joni Mitchell was such an icon." Terra said as we were listening to music. "She was more than an icon, Terra. She was...oh, man. She was everything. You know I wrote her letters? And she let me cover her song. Like, think about this. You like Justin Bieber don't you? I mean a lot of girls your age do." She shrugged. "Kind of I guess. I like-" Her phone began to ring and I was worried it was her teacher asking where she was but we were about to pull into the parking lot of the school. "Hello?" She said. "Yeah, hold on." She handed the phone to me. "Hello?" "Hey, baby." It was Rozie.

I smiled. "Hey, everything okay?" She sounded like she was in a busy place as I could hear traffic and other people in the background. "Hey, I'm gonna be doing some things tonight with Mami, and I wanted to have lunch with her. Do you think you'll be okay by yourself?" She asked. I laughed a little as we pulled into a parking space. "Yeah I can do that. What do you want for dinner tonight?" How were we already talking like a married couple, but we weren't married? "I'll make dinner. I gotta go I love you. Oh, and I'll pick up Terra from school." I smiled. "Okay. I love you, too. Bye." I gave Terra her phone back. "Rozie is picking you up this afternoon. She's gonna be with her mother so if you happen to be going over there too be on your best behavior." Terra smirked. "She makes good snacks of course I will. Bye!" She got out of my car and went inside the school.
