BARRYS POV
"So you said there's no witnesses?" I asked Joe. "Yeah, none have a come forwards." he sighed. As Joe was writing stuff down, I snuck off to the sidewalk to where I saw the kid. I peeked around the corner, but no one was there. Maybe I scared him off. I walked back over to the crime scene, and there seemed to be no evidence what so ever, besides the body. Not even a weapon was found on scene.
CARLS POV
I walked down the street, trying to clear my head. Maybe this is all just a dream, and when I wake up, everything will be the same, and my dad would be alive. Scarlet city? I've never even heard of it. All I know is we're not in Georgia.
As I walked on the crummy sidewalk, i found a ten dollar bill, And thought maybe if I end it, I might wake up or something. All I remember was being struck by lighting and waking up here. It's not fair, but through out the years I learned that life's never fair. Then it hit me. The only goal I have here in this city, is to avenge my fathers death, and kill who ever killed him.
I came around the corner, and saw a little coffee shop. I don't drink coffee, actually the only thing I've been drinking is water if I was lucky. But with the ten I found, I could buy something to drink. I walked up to the door as someone opened it for me. I walked in, to see that it wasn't really busy, but it had people in it. I walked over to the counter, and a women with black hair and darker colored skin was standing behind the counter with a bright smile, with a name tag that read Iris. "Hello there, how may I help you?" She asked. I looked up at the menu, and decided to go with boiled water. It wasn't on the menu, but I just wanted really hot water. She looked a little confused, but she nodded her head. I looked around, and saw a little table that nobody occupied. I took a seat, while waiting for my water.
After about 3 minutes, Iris came over with a cup of my water, and said, "Carful it's hot." I thanked her as she turned and walked away.
I chose a window seat, to see the outside. How different it was without being filled with walkers, not having to Cary a weapon all the time. I then looked down and remembered I had my gun, and calmly pulled my shirt down to cover it. I'm guessing the people of this city weren't going to take it well to see a kid with a gun.
"I have to ask someone what's going on." I thought to myself. Im all alone and confused. I then went back to focusing on the outdoors, when I saw a familiar face. It was the guy who killed my father. I jumped up, and I was about to run out the door when I realized I didn't pay. I ran up to the counter and asked, "How much did it cost?" She smiled and replied "It's on the house."
I then ran outside to find the guy. I spotted him again, and I followed him. I followed him to an old wear house, without him noticing me. We went inside, it had lots of metal shelfs with boxes in them. The shelfs formed a circle, around a big free area. I decided to hide behind one of the boxed shelfs, to see what was going on. The guy I followed walked in the middle, to great another guy. "Dustin! it's about time you got here." the other guy yelled. That means that the guy who killed my fathers name was Dustin. "Shut up Barney, I'm more on time then you'll ever be! Besides I got side tracked with some people." Dustin yelled greeting Barney. "Whatever man. But the dates set, the raids happening tomorrow at 5:00 o'clock." Barney told him. Raid? What raid? "Yeah good. The cops will never see it coming. We'll get all that money, and laugh in their faces!" They both laughed. I listened some more to the plans they made for tomorrow. These had to be some bad guys, so I decided I should leave. But as I went to leave, I tripped over one of the shelfs making it fall, and both of the guys turned to find me, ease dropping on the entire conversation.
BARRYS POV
"How was your day?" I asked Iris as she handed me my coffee. "Good. It hasn't been busy really today, but we did get a weird customer." She said taking a sip of her coffee. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Well there was this boy, by himself, and he seemed- just lonely. And he gave the weirdest order. Heated water, and he kinda looked lost." she sighed. "Wait, did this-boy, have longish Brown hair?" I asked curiously. She looked shocked, and said, "Yeah! How did you know that?" "I think I've seen him before, do you know where he went?" I asked. This kid was at my crime scene, maybe he has some intel. "Well he starred out the window for a while, and something caught his attention, and he left in a hurry." She replied. Maybe I can find him. "Which direction?" "East...." she told me. I then told her some lame excuse about work, and headed east.
I walked far east until I reached an old looking wear house. I looked into one of the Foggy windows, to see two men arguing with the kid tied to a chair, so decided to go put in my suit and come back in a second- literally.
CARLS POV
They grabbed me, and used rope to tie me to s chair. "How much did you hear?" Barney asked. I didn't answer, and Dustin looked at me with his head turned sideways. "I know you..... Your the kid of the guy I killed earlier!" He exclaimed. "He didn't answer, which means he heard all of it!" Barney yelled. "Yeah, and he knows what we look like, so I say we kill him!" Dustin suggested. Barney circled around me, looking up and down, deciding what to do. "Fine. You can do it though." he sighed. I started to sweat a little. I couldn't die yet, but maybe it was a good thing. Dustin took out a big knife, a machete maybe, and I turned my head away, to see a guy in the window, but a second later he was gone. I then quickly turned my head back to Dustin, as he shoved the knife into the side of my stomach. I fell silent, and he stabbed me again and again and again. A Little blood trickled from my mouth, when the door burst open, we couldn't see anyone. I looked quickly over at Barney and Dustin, but they were now tied together with rope. I was untied now, when I finally saw him. He was wearing a red suit, with a yellow lighting bolt in the middle of it across the chest.
